The last episode of Pokémon’s “Twilight Wings” YouTube series has finally released on the streaming platform.
Twilight Wings has come to an end. The animated series provided by Studio Colorido that has received millions of views on YouTube just released its final episode, “Sky,” concluding the story arc that was started in the very first episode.
If you remember from episode 1 of Twilight Wings, aspiring Pokémon trainer John writes a letter to Galar Champion Leon from his hospital bed. His illness prevents him from performing the normal activities of kids his age–namely, leaving their families to go on a journey of discovery across the region, catching dangerous wild animals to use in bloodsport along the way.
John scribbles a cute drawing, hands it to Chairman Rose, which then manages to make its way to Leon. In response, an invitation to the Galar Championship match is sent back inviting every kid at the hospital to attend.
You probably don’t even need spoilers to guess what happens next, but we’ll keep it a mystery anyway. Just expect a lot of anime cliches.
Twilight Wings has been spectacularly successful on YouTube, judging by its view count. One wonders if this success will spur Nintendo to make a new series for the next major Pokémon release.
