When something is old and still loved, the fanbase tends to take things less seriously. With time, even the problems of a game and its issues become part of something that is widely accepted by a dedicated community. This is the case for one of the most acclaimed JRPGs of all time, Final Fantasy 7.

This is such a silly moment in the first game. Obviously, the PlayStation One was not the most powerful console ever made. Still, it provided enough for Final Fantasy VII to have many mini-games that made the overall experience better. They were often silly but useful to change the pace of the game.
This timing mini-game that was needed to open a door was such a silly thing and made so little sense that it became a memorable part of Final Fantasy VII. So much so that they kept in the remake. Peachytroopa-sephyori had the same issue that most kids had after beating Final Fantasy VII, it seems. It was such a cool, innovative game with an edgy main character, edgy villain, creative characters, and guns. It only makes sense that those who played it would be a bit obsessed. And those who died many times to Sephiroth would, instead, be traumatized.
Sephiroth would take so long to cast a spell that it sometimes forced players to start all over again the fight against him after dying to it. Being hit by Supernova was very unpleasant, which is why the meme is so funny.

In order to enjoy Final Fantasy 7 nowadays, it is not unusual to see fans installing mods that change the textures and even the music to something more polished and modern. Sephiroth’s sword is way too long. Up to a point that one must wonder if there really is a reason for it to be like that. It seems Final Fantasy 7 Remake’s fan page figured out the true reason behind Masamune’s length. There is literally nothing scarier than Sephiroth in the Final Fantasy 7 universe. Especially the Sephiroth from the original game who was a crazy, despair-inducing psychopath. The game is pretty much a railroad, so seeing Sephiroth might not be as terrifying to players. However, playing the game for the first time and seeing this force of nature doing whatever he wanted was indeed something.
