This year’s E3 expo was chock full of huge announcements, with several big hitters from the video game industry attempting to come out on top. One of the largest surprises of E3 2015, however, was Square Enix revealing that fans of the the much-loved RPG Final Fantasy 7 were finally going to get their wish. The publisher revealed that the acclaimed RPG was going to receive a remake for modern consoles.
Although little was initially revealed about the project, Square Enix did leave some cryptic clues surrounding the game’s content. Chief amongst these was the reveal that the Final Fantasy 7 remake would receive some big changes to both gameplay and story. This led fans to speculate on just what the additional content would be, with everything from new, exciting mini-games to better open world exploration topping up fan lists of most-wanted changes around the world.
