The people who want to try out Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Remastered Edition for free will have a chance, as there will be a Lite version of the game that lets players explore three dungeons.
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles was originally released for the Nintendo GameCube in 2004, which was seen as a landmark event; it was the first Final Fantasy game to be released on a Nintendo system since Squaresoft jumped ship to Sony at the start of the 32-bit era. Although Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles received positive reviews upon release, it was criticized for the unwieldy nature of the multiplayer mode, which required each player to own a Game Boy Advance and a link cable.
Fans of the game won’t need the complex setup of the original version of the game anymore, however. Square Enix announced Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Remastered Edition at the end of 2019, including online modes and crossplay, so it will be easier than ever for people to team up and play the game.
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Remastered Edition is all about the co-op experience and curious gamers will have a chance to try out this element of the game without needing to spend any extra cash. Square Enix has released a new video regarding that explains new features coming to the remaster. Namely, a “Lite” version of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Remastered Edition will launch on August 27.
The Lite version of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Remastered Edition will be free to download on Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4. It will allow players to create a character and play through three of the dungeons in the game without any cost. It will also be possible for three Lite players to team up with a person who owns the full version of the game, in order to play through thirteen dungeons.
The Lite version of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Remastered Edition will be released alongside the paid version of the game, so people all over the world will have a chance to try before they buy.
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Remastered Edition will be released for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Android & iOS devices on August 27, 2020.
