The conversation around the legendary PlayStation RPG never stopped, but the remake has people talking about it even more and showing their love the only way the internet knows how — through memes. 10 Don’t Judge A Book By Its Cover
Many judge both Tifa and Aerith’s personalities solely on how they dress. Since the former reveals more skin with her outfit, some see her as more flirtatious. Final Fantasy VII Remake reminds gamers that it is indeed Aerith who is more playful. After all, she immediately offers Cloud a date in exchange for bodyguard duties. Tifa, meanwhile, is too busy in turmoil over her dedication to Avalanche’s cause versus their ruthless methods.
9 Some Prefer The Original
As stunning as the redesign is on a technical level, some fans prefer the charm of the PlayStation’s simpler design. It makes one wonder how the animations would look if done by the character model from the 1997 game.

While it is easy to put one’s mind into the gutter when talking about some of the character designs from Final Fantasy VII and other JRPGs, there are plenty of other reasons why fans wanted to see these characters brought back for a remake. Tifa is given new life in the recent reimagining, adding layers to her character which were only hinted at in the original game.

Tifa needs no help in kicking some butt. Advent Children shows the character displaying some serious combat prowess, and Final Fantasy VII Remake proves she always had it in her. In fact, she turns out to be the strongest member of the party. Forget Cloud and Barret; the bartender from Seventh Heaven could probably take out Sephiroth on her own.

The humor of this meme goes beyond Tifa’s conventional attractiveness. In the early hours of the game, just about every NPC in Sector Seven has something to say about Tifa. She is probably the most popular person there is in the game.
Perhaps fan clubs started sprouting up on the internet, dedicated to the bartender and member of Avalanche. This brings up another question, however: Does internet even exist in this world? The residents of Midgar’s slums do not seem to have computers.
5 Chun Tifa
Depending on one choice the player makes in Chapter Three, Tifa will head into Don Corneo’s hideout wearing one of three dresses. If Cloud says a sporty outfit suits her, then her attire will turn out like the above picture. The hair draws a striking similarity to Chun-Li from the Street Fighter franchise. What would Capcom say if they ever got their hands on this?
4 How Does This Work?
This meme brings up a whole slew of questions regarding Materia. How are they able to fit into people’s weapons if they show up so large when resting on Jessie’s hand. Either Tifa’s mitts are gigantic, or Jessie is tiny. Additionally, how does slotting the Materia into one’s weapon actually let someone wield it? Is there a science behind it? Will carving a Materia-shaped hole into a weapon work, or is another process involved when adding slots to a piece of equipment?
3 Decisions, Decisions
One’s decision on which remake to buy should probably not be based on which female protagonist they find more attractive. It is difficult to compare the two games at all. One is an epic RPG while the other is a survival horror romp through a zombie-infested city.
If one is looking for a longer game, they should go with Final Fantasy VII Remake, a solid 40-hour experience. As fantastic as Resident Evil 3 is, one playthrough only lasts about five hours, while unlocking all the bonuses and achievements/trophies only takes about twenty hours.

Every character in Final Fantasy VII except Cloud is thirsty as all get-out. Tifa perhaps drops some hints at Cloud about potential feelings, but ultimately the two stay friends throughout the journey. Sometimes childhood friends feel more like siblings than two people who have any potential romantic chemistry.
