Lalafell are a gnome-like race that has been around since the beginning of Final Fantasy XIV. They are tiny, often standing below the knee of other races. However, they can battle like everyone else through dungeons and trials and be Warriors of Light. They truly prove that size doesn’t matter.

They are pretty cute, and many players affectionately nicknamed them the “potato” race due to their body shape.  Their looks have also inspired a lot of fan art. Today we’ll be checking out some of the best pieces of Lalafell fan art. Be sure to check out the links to the artists, as they deserve credit for their work.

10 Astrologian

Astrologian is a healer class that was introduced in the Heavensward expansion of the game. Basically, you draw from a deck of tarot cards to boost the stats of your party members. It can be a lot of fun, and the class has a cool space-theme to it.

The colors and shapes of this fan art really show off the mysticism of the class. The art was made by OracleSaturn, who also does a lot of fan art for Undertale.

9 Card Reader

Here is a take on the Astrologian class with much darker colors and a different Lalafell character. The space background is very fitting, as Astrologians study and attune to constellations in order to do their magic.

The art was made by Nipuni, who does a lot of Final Fantasy XIV and Dragon Age fan art. They are major fans of both Emet-Selch and Solas.

8 Dragoon

Dragoons are skilled lancers that hunt dragons. They are known to jump really high in order to attack their opponents. One major NPC of Final Fantasy XIV is a Dragoon named Estinian. Besides him though, the player can also be one. That means lalafell dragoons!

This fan art was made by Squaffle. They have a lot of other Final Fantasy XIV fan art in their gallery that is worth checking out.

7 Tataru

Tataru is a member of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn and works for them as a receptionist. She is a lalafell and is one of the major characters in the game, as she’s around from the beginning and plays a role in all the expansions.

The art was made by Winterleigh.

6 Friends Of Varied Size

According to the artist, they play as a male Au Ra. Male Au Ra are one of the tallest character you can play as, and can be pretty intimidating with their horns. However, their friend plays as a lalafell! Needless to say, they strike quite a contrast when hanging out together.

The sketch was made by Reganov.

5 Cloaked

According to the artist, this piece was a commission and the lalafell’s name is Zazami Zami. It is a very fitting lalafell sort of name, similar to Tataru’s. It is hard to tell what class this lalafell is, as the singular blade seems like a paladin’s, but they have no shield.

The art was made by the same one that did the dragoon lalafell, Squaffle.

4 Flower Crown

The flower crown this lalafell is wearing is an award from Little Lady’s Day, one of the many holiday events that happen once a year in the MMO. She also appears to be wearing a spring dress.

According to the artist, this piece was a commission. Their only commentary to the piece were the words “Angry potato.” The art was made by Lutherniel.

3 Lalafell Tank

Being a tank class like paladin means you are basically the leader of a dungeon party. You lead the charge into battle and keep all enemies’ attacks focused on you while the DPS deal damage and the healer keeps you on your feet. So it is pretty cute and a little funny when lalafell is the tank. These little guys are the party leader and are the only things standing between the other members and getting killed by a boss!

According to the artist, this piece was a commission. The art was made by Kutty-Sark from Ukraine.

2 White Mage

White mage is the original healing class of Final Fantasy XIV. Other classes like Scholar and Astrologian are only available later on. White mages use their connection to nature to draw their power and are all trained in the forests of Girdania.

This piece was made by Artmancer.

1 Moogle And Paladin

Like any Final Fantasy title, Final Fantasy XIV has moogles. You can even get pieces of moogle gear, from weapons to slippers and hats.  This lalafell paladin is keeping the theme subtle with just the moogle hat. It is adorable, but she also looks tough at the same time. That moogle by her side would also make for a very cute minion!

The art was made by shinjyu, who does a lot of Final Fantasy XIV and Jojo fan art.
