The miqo’te of Final Fantasy XIV are one of the most popular races in the MMO game. Basically, they are cat people. They are split into two categories: Keepers of the Sun and Keepers of the Moon.

Originally, players could only play as female miqo’te. That changed once A Realm Reborn was launched. Now male miqo’te are everywhere and players cannot imagine an Eorzea without them!

With how popular a race they are, there is a lot of fan art. Here are ten pieces of miqo’te fan art.

10 Wedding

There is a lot going on in this fan art. First of all, one of the characters is wearing the wedding dress from the Mogstation wedding package that players can buy. However, the other miqo’te is not wearing a wedding outfit, but something that looks more Doman. Lastly, they are not at the wedding location, but appear to be in the Shadowbringers content with the Crystal Tower in the background.

This piece was a commission done by Winterleigh.

9 Dragoon

This miqo’te is a dragoon, one of the physical melee DPS classes of Final Fantasy XIV. Dragoons are a class that is eventually unlocked for upper-level lancers. They are known for fighting dragons by jumping up super high with their spears.

This art was a commission done by QTori. They’ve also done art for games like Life is Strange, Final Fantasy VII, and Bloodborne.

8 White Haired Miqo’te

It is unknown what class this character is, but the armor hints that he can could a tank or possibly a physical DPS like samurai, dragoon, or ninja.

This piece was also a commission and was done by kanade-kana. They have also done fan art of characters from Nier: Automata.

7 Scholar

According to the artist, this miqo’te is a scholar that owns his own infirmary. He goes on quests to gather ingredients to make various medicines.

This piece was actually made for a contest, called the FanFest2017 Frankfurt art contest. The miqo’te is actually the artists’ sister’s character. The art was made by BrendaVV.

6 Portrait

The portrait of this miqo’te has a sort of rustic edge. The purple hair contrasts nicely with the greenish-brown background as well.

This was a commission done by Innervalue. They have also done fan art for Baldur’s Gate, Captain Marvel, Game of Thrones, and much more. They do a lot of portrait commissions.

5 Magic User

Based on the robes, this miqo’te is likely a black mage, but they could also be a different sort of magic user like an astrologian, white mage, summoner, scholar, or red mage. The miqo’te also looks like they would be a Keeper of the Moon due to their face-paint.

The art was a comission done by Nat10730. They do a lot of portraits of Final Fantasy XIV characters as well as characters from Overwatch.

4 Warrior

The warrior class is one of the four tank classes in Final Fantasy XIV. They are large axe wielders. The light around the character is actually something that warriors have happen to them in the game during combat.

The artist do did this piece is Claparo-Sans, a freelance illustrator from Vietnam. Other fan art they have done include characters from Howls Moving Castle, Final Fantasy VII, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, and more.

3 With Chocobo

Here we have a miqo’te with his chocobo. Upon a certain level, all players get their very own chocobo as a traveling companion and steed to ride on. It is the first of possibly many mounts you can collect in Final Fantasy XIV. The original chocobo is always special though because it can fight alongside you and can change feather colors depending on what you feed it in the stables.

2 With Hat

Despite having cat ears at the tops of their heads, miqo’te actually have a lot of hat options in Final Fantasy XIV. The class with some of the most elegant hats are the bards. Judging from both the hat and the cape, it is safe to assume this miqo’te is a bard.

This art was made by Pechan. She has also done fan art for The Nightmare Before Christmas, Final Fantasy VII, Spiderman, and much more.

1 Pink Sweater

In Final Fantasy XIV, you can pretty much dress up your character in any style. You can look scary, goofy, elegant, modern, plain, girly, and much more. That is part of what players love about the game: the amount of freedom they have.

This miqo’te is dressed modernly and while that sweater is not available in the game, a lot of other modern-like clothes are. The art was made by Zolaida. Besides Final Fantasy XIV, they have also done fan art for Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Overwatch, The Legend of Zelda, Howls Moving Castle, and much more.
