Since Final Fantasy XIV expansion, Shadowbringers, came out in July of 2019, a lot of players have created their own Viera characters. This new female-only race was added on with the male-only race, Hrothgar. However, Viera seems to be the favorite among players. After all, they are tall women with rabbit ears! What is not to love about that?

Of course, the Viera have inspired a lot of fan art as well. Here are ten that were made by talented artists. Be sure to check out the artist links as well, as they deserve credit for their work.

10 In The Snow

This gorgeous piece is a commission done by the Poland-based artist, Patrycja Kotlik. They have done other video game characters such as Triss from The Witcher series and D.Va from Overwatch. They also draw characters from anime like Saber from Fate/Stay Night and Usagi from Sailor Moon.

9 Maid Outfit

This art has a Viera wearing an outfit that is only available for purchase at the Mogstation. It is the loyal housemaids’ set. As of now, it costs $18. It is one of the more popular outfits that Square Enix sells to their players.

The art was made by Japanese-based artist, itidonido.

8 Dancer

Along with some new races, the Shadowbringers expansion also introduced new classes like dancer. In the trailer, a Viera is shown in the dancer gear. Due to that, a lot of fans associate dancers with Viera and vice versa.

The art was made by the talented Fen from Malaysia. They do a lot of fan art for Japanese RPGs like other Final Fantasy titles and Kingdom Hearts.

7 Modernized

The fun of MMOs like Final Fantasy XIV is that you can wear whatever you want, no questions asked. From a maid outfit to a ball gown to just sweatpants and a t-shirt, you can really just play in any style you with.

While these clothes do not seem to be from the game, the Viera pulls them off well! The art was made by vincyWP from the Philippines. They have done a lot of Viera fan art, so check out their gallery!

6 Rava Viera

There are different clans/sub-categories to every Final Fantasy XIV race. For the Viera, it is the Rava and Veena. This particular fan art is of a Rava Viera. The Rava are those that live in the jungle while Veena live in more cold climates. The Rava tend to have dark skin while the Veena are pale.

The art was made by Kwimael. They do a lot of different characters from Final Fantasy XIV.

5 Scholar

According to the artist, this Viera is trained in the classes black mage, scholar, dark knight, and white mage. That makes two healing classes, one DPS, and one tank class. Pretty versatile!

The art was made by yoikuarts. Besides Final Fantasy XIV fan art, they also do a lot of Fire Emblem.

4 Beach Walk

One of the great aspects of Final Fantasy XIV is the beautiful vistas. Costa del Sol is one such place. It is a beach paradise with glittering waves and restaurants on piers over the sea. It is also not unusual to see characters dancing to put on a show for tourists! This Viera is obviously a dancer class due to holding the dancer weapons.

The art was made by NibelArt.

3 Bard

This style is adorable, and much like what you would find in a children’s book. The flowers combined with the moon and bow really give the Viera a mystical aura. It is also great that she both looks cute but also battle-ready.

The artist for this piece is annamiyu. They have done cute fan art of other characters from video games, movies, as well as anime like Anne from Persona 5, Merida from Brave, Raiden from Metal Gear Rising Revengence, and various characters from Kill la Kill.

2 Default Viera

This fan art shows a Viera wearing their default gear. A lot of Viera actually are players who changed their race after Shadowbringers was released, so they did not get this gear. That is why it tends to be a little expensive on the player market boards, at least compared to other default outfits.

The artist for this piece is muraicchi. They have done lots of other Final Fantasy XIV character fan art for characters like Y’Shtola, Emet-Selch, Hildebrand, Tataru, and many others.

1 Gunbreaker

Besides dancers, gunbreakers were a new class introduced in Shadowbringers. They are a tank class that uses a weapon that is the combination of a sword and a gun. Pretty cool! So, of course, there were a lot of Viera gunbreakers when Shadowbringers was released.

The art was made by freelance concept artist, Nik Dawson. His gallery has a ton of different characters from Futaba from Persona 5 to Aerith from Final Fantasy VII.
