The MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV has everything, even its own mini version of Las Vegas. This gambling paradise is known as the Gold Saucer. It is a tower in the shape of a cactus in the middle of the desert.

At the Gold Saucer, players try to collect Manderville Gold Saucer Points (otherwise called MGP). With MGP, a ton of interesting rewards and prizes can be bought from rare mounts to cute minions and of course, some shiny gear and playful emotes.

However, MGP works far differently from gil. There are only certain ways to gain it, and players who want the very rare items will have to patiently collect.

10 Khloe’s Journals

Khloe is a little Miqo’te child that gives the players rewards for basically playing a game of bingo with dungeons every two weeks. The first reward is completed by collecting nine of her stickers, and then the greater rewards are achieved by getting four stickers in a row.

Among her rewards are MGP, a decent amount too depending on how many lines the player gets.

9 The Weeky Jumbo Cactpot

Chances of getting the first prize are the slimmest you can imagine, but there is no real loss at buying three Jumbo Cactpot tickets every week. The game is generous enough to give a consolation prize if none of the numbers match, and that makes up for the MGP spent well enough for the chance of any of the prizes.

While the weekly chances often have more MGP, they can be easier to forget than the dailies. Some players even make notes to themselves to collect their winnings every week!

8 Complete Weekly Challenge Logs

Challenge logs are recommended for farming anything in Final Fantasy XIV from gil to experience points. This is also true for MGP. In fact, the Gold Saucer has many challenge logs.

If you play Lord of Verminion five times, that is 12,000 MGP. If you win ten chocobo races, then that is 8,000 MGP. Winning ten Triple Triad matches will also win you 8,000 MGP.

7 Use Gold Saucer VIP Cards

It is not uncommon for players to have these cards sitting in their inventory and always forgetting to use them. The VIP cards are quite useful for farming MGP though, as they do the simple act of increasing the MGP rewards for Gold Saucer attractions.

This increases the MGP awarded by 15 percent.

6 The Weekly Fashion Report

Besides the Jumbo Cactpot, another weekly must-do for MGP farmers is the Fashion Report. For many players, the report can feel like a lot of trouble because it requires looking through glamours and dying clothes instead of just picking random numbers.

However, the trouble can be quite worth it for those farming MGP. It can get the player 60,000 MGP (and don’t forget that can be increased with the VIP card).

5 GATEs

GATEs are one of the more fun and unique ways to gain MGP. They are especially fun to do with a group of friends. Every 20 minute, a GATE is held in the Gold Saucer and they are a little bit comparable to Mario Party mini-games.

These GATEs include a lot of jump puzzles as well as games where you try to avoid getting hit by a enemy. The highest rewards can gain a player a lot of MGP, but it can require a lot of skill depending on the GATE.

4 The Daily Mini Cactpot

Every day, a player can do the Mini Cactpot three times. Instead of picking numbers like the Jumbo Cactpot, the Mini Cactpot is a scratch-off ticket. The best a player can get is a one, two, and three in a row and gain 10,000 MGP.

Among the farming methods, this activity only takes a couple seconds instead of minutes or an entire week of waiting. It is quite satisfying even if the reward is small.

3 Triple Triad Matches

Not many players get involved in Triple Triad, but those that do open a new world of gameplay. NPCs all over Eorzea have icons above their heads that show they have a Triple Triad card you do not have in your collection yet. If you beat them a ton, you will likely get the card and the annoying icon will vanish (this can take a lot of card games!).

Each time you win, you do also get MGP.

2 Play The Mini-Games While Waiting For Raids And Dungeons

Players have some limited options of what to do while waiting in queue for a Raid or Dungeon. An easy activity to do while waiting is to just grind at the many mini-games available in the Gold Saucer.

These mini-games are very quick so the player doesn’t have to worry about missing out on reward if their queue suddenly pops as ready.

1 Chocobo Races

Chocobo races have some lag on certain servers, but they can be addicting for players who get into having the best Chocobo. Like the GATEs, Chocobo Races are recommended to be done with a group of friends for the maximum fun.

Besides the plain enjoyment of tailoring the best racing Chocobo, the races get the player MGP.
