With housing in Final Fantasy XIV costing millions of gil, it is likely that a player can spend their entire in-game savings on just securing a property. Once the property is bought, they may not have much left over for furniture. At least it’s not real money.

The Market Board economy changes every day, so prices are never stagnant. However, players will always try to get as much Gil as they think they can get on what they sell. NPCs, luckily, are much more dependable.

There are NPCs that sell housing items such as the merchants in the Lavender Beds, Mist, and Goblet. There is also Azena in Mor Dhona and Grege at The Gold Saucer. With these NPCs, you are guaranteed cheap furnishings.

20 Brass Bench: 1,988 Gil

19

This outdoor furniture is a great starting point on getting something for people to sit on in your yard. Sure, it does not look like the most comfortable bench in the world but think of it as a starting point.

This bench can be bought from any of the housing vendors in the Lavender Beds, Mist, and Goblet. Best of all, it can be dyed to whatever color the player wants.

18 Wooden Footbridge: 3,500 Gil

17

The wooden footbridge is not for everyone. While it is just over three thousand gil, the price can add up to much higher because players typically want more than just one. These are best used when bought in large quantities and attached together around the yard.

Like the bench, the footbridge can change color and is sold by housing vendors.

16 Dodo’s Nest: 2,835 Gil

15

Most players find this cheap piece of furniture to be a bit on an eyesore, but there are players that do creative things with it.

Some put the dodo nests near a Chocobo stable so that it is like a Chocobo nest instead. However, a stable is one of the more expensive housing items at 125,000 gil. Big price change, as Chocobos are very popular.

14 Oasis Wooden Awning: 1,858 Gil

13

Awnings are outdoor furniture pieces that you cannot exactly place yourself. Instead, they automatically attach to the side of the house. The wooden awning is simple but can be spruced later with a porch or plants and chairs.

There are all sorts of awnings available, but this one is the cheapest and most simple of all.

12 Glade Tiled Awning: 2,565 Gil

11

For just a couple hundred gil more, players can get a tiled awning. It is a little more expensive just for its splash of brick coloring. Unfortunately, though, it cannot be dyed.

Glade furniture is what is typical of those who live in the Lavender Beds while Oasis is typical for those that live in the Goblet and Riviera for those that live in the Mist. This is because the vendors of each area only sell certain kinds. If you live in Oasis but want the Glade Tiled Awning at a cheap price, see the vendor at the Lavender Beds.

10 Round Garden Patch: 3,000 Gil

9

Not all players with homes partake in gardening, but those that do can turn out big profits. However, some players just grow crops because they like how they look.

Whichever kind of gardener you are, the cheapest garden plot to start with is the Round Garden Patch. It has four beds to plant whatever you want. If you enjoy it, you can upgrade to larger and more expensive plots later.

8 Riviera Placard: 2,246 Gil

7

Placards are hung above the house door and their symbol can change depending on the players’ Grand Company. Not all players utilize placards, but some think they are a nice addition to the outward appearance of a home.

Cheap placards are easy to come by, with the Riviera Placard being the cheapest of all of them.

6 Glade Placard: 4,946 Gil

5

If you prefer a lighter tone of wood and a fan-like shape, then the Glade Placard is another cheap housing item. Do be careful though, as there is a difference between the Glade Placard and the Glade Hanging Placard. The hanging one is more expensive.

Keep in mind that a Glade Placard would match other Glade outdoor furnishings.

4 Oasis Placard: 4,352 Gil

3

For a more purely wood approach, or to match with your other Oasis furniture, the Oasis Placard can provide more warmth to the outward appearance of your Final Fantasy home.

Reminder: Oasis is the brand of furniture that is most ideal for those that live in the Mist neighborhoods. However, don’t be afraid to mix it up a little.

2 Glade Thatch Chimney: 6,204 Gil

1

Among the outward additions to a home are chimneys. The cheapest chimney of all is the Glade Thatch Chimney. It adds character with its iconic pseudo Fleur de Lis symbol on top. Adding this to the outside of your home may make you feel pressure to put a fireplace inside your home.

Of course, with how cheap it is, this chimney is far more simple than others. Other options you get with more gil in your pockets are Chocobo-themed weathervanes or the oriental-styled Hingan chimneys.
