Finally, you can unlock achievements for games purchased in the Epic Games Store. Well, for one game at least.

Epic Games is still a thing, and so is its game store. What first started as a blatant attempt to unseat Steam as the world’s greatest PC game digital storefront still hasn’t quite achieved the desired effect, but it’s got achievements now. So there’s that.

Although Epic says that achievements will become a regular thing in most of its library, the only game to have achievements so far is Ark: Survival Evolved. They’re going to use this dinosaur survival game as a guinea pig to make sure that all the achievements work and are correctly tracked in the background.

Other games should get their achievements soon™, and honestly, it can’t take that long considering that every other platform already has those achievements. All they need to do is get them ported to their platform. How hard could it be?

Other recent additions to the Epic Games Store include offline sign-in, self-service refunds, wish lists, and additional currency support for other countries. Coming up soon will be a trending page on the Epic storefront, mod support, and automatic price adjustments for bundled games.

And while we’re talking about Epic still trying to catch up to Steam, the Epic Summer Sale is going on right now. Get big discounts on Borderlands 3, Control, GTAV: Premium Edition, and basically every game that Ubisoft has ever made since 2012 at steep discounts from now until August 6.
