In Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Ingrid is the responsible and well-mannered noble of the Blue Lions. She carries not only strong beliefs of what knighthood should entail but also the Crest of Daphnel, which holds a lot of weight in her family.

While Ingrid comes off as elegant, beautiful, and mature, there are certain classmates who see her in a different light. Some people feel she takes everything too seriously in an uptight manner, while others are aware of the sides to her that she desperately tries to conceal. Regardless, Ingrid’s character has no doubt been shaped by her backstory and other lesser-known facts.

10 Connection To Dimitri & Felix

Prior to entering the Officers Academy, Ingrid was already on good terms with many of the Blue Lions boys. This is because they all came from noble families in Faerghus.

Perhaps the person who brought Ingrid, Dimitri, and Felix altogether was Glenn. Glenn was Ingrid’s fiancé, Dimitri’s close friend, and Felix’s older brother. After his death, Ingrid would reminisce and talk highly about him with Dimitri and Felix.

9 Keeps Sylvain In Check

Ingrid might have had a friendly relationship with Dimitri and Felix growing up, but her strongest childhood friendship lies with Sylvain.

While Sylvain will not hesitate to flirt with any of his other female classmates, Ingrid is not the type to accept that behavior toward herself or anyone else. In fact, she’s been known to help Sylvain out of sticky situations with women since their childhood. She even had to scold him for hitting on her grandmother.

8 Not Interested In Her Appearance

According to Annette, Ingrid is a natural beauty who would make the most fashionable knight around. The only thing getting in Ingrid’s way is her lack of interest in fashion, makeup, and her overall appearance.

However, after some encouragement from Annette, Ingrid decides to step out of her comfort zone and try on some makeup. Later in the War Phase, she even starts wearing more makeup, which Sylvain assumes is to impress a guy.

7 Loves Food

Ingrid is someone who usually knows how to stay calm and keep her composure. Most of her peers see her in that respect, but two of her closest friends have witnessed a much different side to her when it comes to food.

When sharing a meal with Sylvain, he’ll comment on the way Ingrid “shovels” the meal into her mouth. In addition, Felix casually exposes Ingrid’s odd tendencies about food to Byleth.

6 Admires Knights

Compared to her peers, Ingrid has exceptionally high respect for knights and a firm image of what the ideal knight is. She believes that they have a duty to fulfill, even if it means dying for a noble cause.

This enthusiasm for knighthood is shared with the likes of Ashe, but it has also led to arguments with Felix and Dimitri. While Ingrid believed that Glenn died nobly in serving the king, Felix and Dimitri felt that his death wasn’t noble at all and should not have happened.

5 Formerly Engaged

From birth, Ingrid was set to marry Felix’s older brother, Glenn. Despite being in an arranged marriage, Ingrid greatly respected her fiancé as a knight and quite possibly could have fallen in love with him if he were still alive.

Since Glenn’s death, Ingrid’s father has been trying to set her up with other noblemen for marriage. An arranged marriage is not exactly what Ingrid wants for herself, but she understands that her lineage is depending on the financial support of another noble family.

4 Holds A Grudge Against Duscur

The Tragedy of Duscur has directly impacted the lives of many people from both Faerghus and Duscur, including Dimitri, Felix, and Dedue. Because Glenn was among the casualties of the tragedy, Ingrid blamed the people of Duscur and held a grudge against them ever since.

Naturally, this means, she does not fully trust or get along with her Duscur classmate, Dedue. Thankfully, Dedue’s kindness is able to change Ingrid’s mind as they get to know each other better.

3 Can’t See Eye To Eye With Claude

As one of the most responsible students at the Officers Academy, Ingrid will call out people who display a lack of seriousness in their responsibilities. This includes the house leader of Golden Deer, Claude.

In contrast to her respect for the Blue Lion’s leader, Dimitri, Ingrid feels that Claude’s carefree personality isn’t up to standard with how a leader should behave. While Claude teases Ingrid about smiling more and loosening up, she advises him to act more responsibly.

2 The Origin Of Her Crest

Many students bear Crests with the same name as their family name. However, Ingrid is one of the nobles whose Crest and family names do not match. Despite being born to the Galatea family in Faerghus, her Crest of Daphnel actually originates from the Leicester Alliance.

This is because the Galatea family branched off of House Daphnel and moved to Faerghus. Unfortunately, this proved to be a poor financial decision that left Ingrid’s family with little money despite their nobility.

1 She Has No Subject Weaknesses

In the teaching aspect of Three Houses, every unit has their own set of strengths, weaknesses, and potential Budding Talents. Ingrid is one of the rarer units who has no weakness to drag her down.

This gives her a lot of options to consider when leveling up her skills and choosing her class. At the same time, it might be most ideal to stick to her true strengths of Lance and Flying to make her a great Pegasus Knight.
