Lysithea von Ordelia is one of the most interesting characters in all of Fire Emblem: Three Houses. She’s 4 feet tall with a 9-foot attitude, is one of the strongest characters in the game, and thinks that YOU ARE IRRELEVANT. She is fantastic all around. If you’ve never built your supports up with Lysithea, here are 10 things that you probably didn’t know about her.

10 She Has Two Crests

Due to some horrible testing that was done on her as a child, Lysithea has two Crests. This is why her eyes and hair are colored as they are, and she also has a very shortened lifespan, which explains many of her actions that might seem odd at first. While it does grant her massive power, she’s fully capable without them, and detests what happened to her.

9 Her Fate Is Decided By Who She’s Paired With

Through her epilogues you find out that Lysithea either dies very early on in her life as she predicted, or a way to extract the Crests is found, and she gets to live a long and happy life. This is determined by who she has her paired ending with, as some of the students that she ends up with are able to help her, and with some she just lives out the remainder of her years, even if she didn’t have much time left after the war.

8 She Can Wield The Thunderbrand

One of Lysithea’s Crests is the Major Crest of Charon, and this grants her an ability that only one other character in the game has, she can wield the Thunderbrand.

While the item is better left to Catherine as her stats are more suitable for it, it is interesting that Lysithea has this as her second Crest, and it’s incredibly easy to forget that she can wield a weapon like this if she chooses to.

7 She Teaches Cyril How To Read

While Lysithea might seem a bit brash at times, one of her sweeter moments comes from her supports with Cyril, during which she’ll learn that he can’t read or write, and this will prompt her to actually teach him how to do so. This shows just how caring of a person she is, and really helps to highlight a side of her that we don’t often see.

6 She’s The Strongest Mage In The Game

Lysithea is an absolute beast, and even has the ability to one-shot the Death Knight in certain circumstances. While she can be a bit frail and needs to be protected somewhat, if you play your cards right, Lysithea is going to be taking out enemies left and right.

5 Her Connection To Edelgard

Lysithea and Edelgard share very similar upbringings in terms of the horrors that they faced as children. Edelgard was also experimented on, which explains why the two share the same hair and eye colors. As far as we know, Edelgard could also have a shortened lifespan. The two also have very interesting supports if you recruit Lysithea to the Black Eagles house.

4 She’s The Youngest Student In Officer’s Academy History

Lysithea was accepted into the Officer’s Academy at the age of 15, meaning that she’s actually the youngest student to ever be enrolled there.

As we mentioned earlier, Lysithea is an incredibly skilled mage, so it makes sense as to why she was accepted at such a young age. She is not someone to get on your bad side, and it seems like Rhea and Seteth knew that when they decided to allow her to enroll.

3 She’s Not Interested In Nobility

While endings between characters can differ greatly in how their lives play out, one common thread in most of Lysithea’s epilogues is that she gives up her nobility. It happens almost every time, she relinquishes the Ordelia claim to nobility and lives the life of a commoner. Why she does this often goes unexplained, but it is an interesting detail to note.

2 She’s Scared Of Ghosts

Just like Alois, Lysithea is very scared of ghosts, and she believes Garreg Mach to be infested with them. While she tries to act as adult as possible, this (along with her love for sweet foods) proves that she is still very childlike. It’s one of the few times that we see Lysithea actually acting her age, as she usually has wisdom far beyond her years.

1 Her Quotes Are Fantastic

YOU’RE IRRELEVANT.

I DON’T HAVE TIME FOR THIS.

Eating delicious food REALLY takes my worries away.

GAHHHHHHHH… If only I’d lived… just a little longer.

This one needs absolutely no explanation. Please, just listen to anything that Lysithea says.  Every single line is just beautifully ridiculous. She’s absolutely fantastic. This woman deserves the world. If you don’t think that she’s the best character in all of Three Houses, you’re just doing it wrong. Lysithea von Ordelia is an absolute legend and will be treated as such.
