Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd is the Prince of Faerghus and house leader of the Blue Lions in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. When Byleth first becomes the professor at the Officers Academy, Dimitri comes off as an honorable and sincere young man who looks after his people.

Fans, of course, love Dimitri for his kindhearted days at the Academy, but they also can’t help but fawn over his darker side in the War Phase. Either way, the Prince of Faerghus is undoubtedly a fan-favorite amongst the many characters in Three Houses. And he has a plethora of gorgeous fan art to show for it.

10 A King By @Oboerakugaki

Once the war in Fodlan began, Dimitri let go of his royal etiquette, grew his hair out, and earned himself an eye patch as a worthy battle scar after barely escaping execution. Needless to say, Dimitri underwent one of the biggest physical and emotional changes in the five-year time-skip.

As shown in this stunning fan art by @oboerakugaki, Dimitri stands tall and firm with his trust Hero’s Relic, Areadbhar, in his possession. Whether he’s fighting for revenge or the well-being of his people, know that the king will not hold back.

9 Smile By @Piruppi

One of Dimitri’s most notable features in the War Phase is his eye bags. However, he isn’t the only character who shows a lack of sleep.

Marianne, perhaps the gloomiest student at the Officers Academy, also carries prominent eye bags with her wherever she goes. Though Marianne herself does not smile often, it’s absolutely adorable to see her trying to cheer up the boy who understands her struggles in this fan art by @piruppi.

8 Power Of A Relic By @Gokunobaka

After reuniting with King Lambert’s close friend, Rodrigue, in the Valley of Torment, Dimitri is finally handed Areadbhar, the Hero’s Relic of the Crest of Blaiddyd. As with every Hero’s Relic, Areadbhar contains a Crest Stone which fuels the spear with power far beyond the norm.

@Gokunobaka drew a confident Dimitri wielding Areadbhar with powerful energy surging through the point. Because the Hero’s Relic links specifically to Dimitri’s Crest, he’ll be able to use it to the fullest.

7 Cherished Skull By @Zetsukoshi

At first glance, the skull in the fan art by @zetsukoshi could pass as the remains of the Death Knight, whose infamous mask is designed around a dark skull. However, that wouldn’t make much sense in this context.

Rather, the skull serves as a symbol of Dimitri’s loved ones who lost their lives as a result of conflict and war. Since the Tragedy of Duscur, he hasn’t once forgotten about all the deaths he witnessed that day.

6 Showing His Love By @Fe-oleo

For as charming as he is, Dimitri seems to be lacking in his ability to show his love and affection. This goes all the way back to when he was a young lad who had befriended Edelgard and gifted her a deadly dagger as a gesture of their friendship.

This hilarious yet incredibly accurate fan art by @fe-oleo features Dimitri’s attempt at showing love by smashing a wall into a heart shape. Sylvain and Felix may not approve, but fans love Dimitri regardless.

5 Savage By @Zetsukoshi

From the very beginning of the game, Felix knew something about his childhood friend, Dimitri, that most people didn’t. Felix would claim that Dimitri had a hidden side to him that loved the thrill of bloody battles, thus he nicknamed him the “Boar Prince.”

As the game progressed, Felix’s claims would be proved true with Dimitri’s lust for revenge slowly taking over. By the War Phase, Dimitri prioritized killing Edelgard over everything else and was willing to take down anyone who stood in the way. @Zetsukoshi’s fan art perfectly captures Dimitri’s Boar Prince nature.

4 Animal Friend By @Acattumbles

Learning the true identity of the Flame Emperor might have set Dimitri’s emotions off into chaos, but prior to that, he was an overall gentle prince with a very caring side.

With so many stray animals wandering throughout the monastery, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Dimitri showing compassion to the furry critters. This wholesome fan art by @acattumbles reminds fans that Dimitri had and still has a kind heart deep down.

3 Blue Lion By @Crimson-chains

As seen in his blue attire and knack for authority, Dimitri is the proud house leader of the Blue Lions. Even after the five-year time-skip, his strong leadership is what helped reunite him with his loyal classmates for the long war ahead.

Very fittingly, artist @crimson-chains drew Dimitri on the animal and mascot he shares many qualities with. Like the lions, Dimitri is strong, fierce, and a natural-born leader.

2 Haunted By @Vonnabeee

As mentioned before, Dimitri has been haunted for years by the gruesome deaths he witnessed at the Tragedy of Duscur. He lost his parents as well as Felix’s older brother, Glenn, whom he was also close to. Though he tried his best not to show his pain to others, Dimitri was no doubt struggling to cope with the losses in that tragedy.

This fantastic fan art by @vonnabeee shows the inner struggles that Dimitri faced on a daily basis. The hands reaching for his feet perhaps represent how death keeps clinging to him and won’t let him move on.

1 King & Archbishop By @Hollyfig

Throughout the Blue Lions route, Dimitri is slowly able to overcome the darkness in his heart with the help and support of his former professor, Byleth. If the player chooses to reach the S-rank Support Level with Dimitri, they will get married.

Artist @hollyfig depicts a world in which the fan-favorite pair is happily together as the King of Faerghus and the Archbishop of the Church of Seiros. Together, they can hopefully lead Fodlan to a more peaceful time.
