Though the game is over a year old now, Three Houses contains so much content that it’s near impossible to go through the game and not miss a little. From underrated side games to little discovered weapons, the game is littered with hidden gems that take a few playthroughs to pick up.

For such a popular series, they do a good job of subtly sliding in some pretty important aspects that would help a player out in the long run. Not that a skilled player can’t get through the gameplay without them but it’s always nice to have all options on the table.

10 The Amiibo Gazebo

Nintendo’s pop figures that offer different rewards in their large catalog of games. Even though players can claim all the Fire Emblem amiibo’s available, they aren’t the only ones that you can use to claim rewards in the game. Every available amiibo from any of the Nintendo games can be scanned and looted for in-game goodies.

Players will only stumble across the gift-giving alter if they spend some time roaming around the Monastery. Players will have to peruse the gardens and move the west side before they begin cashing in.

9 The 4th path

Contrary to the name, Three Houses has a fourth main path that you can go down to uncover content that rarely gets seen. It only shows itself once there are some specific prerequisites met, a path that begins with Edelgard’s house.

Free-roaming at a specific time in the Edelgard house and talking to its namesake will begin the process. Choosing to follow her into battle and protect her will lock you into the path and cut you out of the regular characters and events.

8 Unqualified Recruiter

Usually recruiting support characters is a grueling process of constantly improving your skills in an attempt to convince them to team up. While this is probably the best route to character development and getting the most out of the game, it’s also hard.

Gamers being their shortcut finding selves have found a new way, flattery. If you spam gift the desired support character then they eventually cave and join the squad out of pure flattery, despite the player’s lack of skill.

7 Anna’s Private Shop

Fans of the entire series will know Anna in her many different forms, from a merchant to support character. While most will play the game without running into her, Anna has taken up residence subtly among the vendors in the Garreg Mach monastery.

This part of the monastery only opens once players have gone through the time jump. It won’t be as easy as stumbling upon her, players will have to complete a side quest before she opens business. Luckily she’s generous so players will be rewarded handsomely and gain access to her exclusive store.

6 More Than Just Tea

Many players have overlooked the seemingly small gain mini-game, gaining minimal reward and so not utilizing it to it’s fullest potential. If you play it right, the player not only has an opportunity to increase their character bond but also a great tool for increasing their charm stat.

Attention to detail is required though, having to answer a series of questions correctly for each. Even the choice of tea is a factor. If you please them independently, players charm stat will be off the charts, all for a nice chat.

5 Backhanded Tournament Win

Due to the ever-changing designated weapon of the monthly tournament, it becomes near-inevitable that at some point players won’t have the winning team.  That isn’t counting the magic tournaments that get thrown in, making it a lottery for the win.

Luckily, at the beginning of the game, you can recruit temp support from other teams, adding them to your roster of useable players in the tournament. Giving players the pick of the litter for a given weapon and a certain road to the monastery tournament rewards.

4 Mercurius Sword

Every month that passes in the game will bring a monster event, a chance to prove your metal against a higher level opponent with the chance at great rewards. One such reward is the rusted weapons that will drop if the player wins.

While they won’t be of much use in their rusted form, once refined they usually produce some of the best weapons in the game. Mercurius being one of them, a relic from the previous games and a real catch for any fans of the series.

3 Instant Reset

Three Houses has so many different components that have a big impact on gameplay that resets become essential for the detail-oriented player. Unfortunately, the game doesn’t make this an easy process. Well, that is unless you know the never mentioned method.

If players hold the L,R,+ and - buttons together, the game will turn black and take you back to the main loading screen. This is a good time to have the old school skill of manually saving at crucial moments in the game come in handy.

2 Hauteclere Weapon

One of the most versatile and powerful weapons in the franchise, getting ahold of Hauteclere is essential for those that want only the best. The axe first made its debut in the 2009 DS game, Shadow Dragon, and now returns for your enjoyment.

Players will have to have an A+ rating for the professor, before forging a rusted axe from a rare monster. Once obtained, the player now wields a weapon with one of the highest base stats in the game and an incredible asset in battle.

1 Support Level Conversations

Most players know about increasing the character’s support level, granting them access to different allies and unlocking doors to a new team. Though one of the most important aspects of support interaction is often overlooked, the support conversations.

These will increase your bonds even more and improve the teamwork between support characters. Ultimately this leads to more abilities in combat and a more immersive storyline. There are even some heartfelt moments along the way so all in all, it’s definitely worth it.
