Petra is the kind, foreign exchange student of Garreg Mach Monastery in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. She is the princess of Brigid, and a member of the Black Eagle House despite not being a citizen of the Empire. As the game shows, she is little more than a thinly veiled political prisoner.
Despite her position, Petra is a hard-worker and even mastered the language of Fódlan when it comes to writing and listening. She’s not very good at speaking, but that’s where a lot of her charm comes from. She’s a master warrior and hunter, but also kind-hearted and caring. She wears her hair up in an iconic braid, and her post-time skip look is unique among all the characters in Three Houses.
10 Archer Petra By Aelynn000
Despite being mainly a sword user, Petra can also be quite powerful with a bow in her hand. Her high speed and strength make her a solid choice for an archer or assassin, so there’s little reason not to have her use a bow.
Cosplayer Aelynn000 went with Petra’s pre-time skip look with a bow in her hands and her sword at her side. The forest behind her makes it appears as if Petra is doing one of her favorite pastimes, hunting, or taking cover in the trees while firing on an enemy unit. Regardless, she looks more than ready to do some damage from afar!
9 Sweater Petra By MofuMofuCosplay
Even Petra needs a break from her uniform or traditional Brigid garb. While she would probably rather be out and about hunting or sparring, Petra surely enjoys a night of sitting around in a comfy sweater with friends.
Despite the casual look, she has makeup around her eyes and her mark just below her right eye. Cosplayer MofuMofuCosplay did have a full outfit that can be found here, but this one was a fun and simple take on everyone’s favorite Princess of Brigid.
8 Levin Sword Petra By Maganda Marie
While not the best weapon to give to Petra and have her use, the Levin Sword is an iconic sword in the Fire Emblem franchise. It’s a magic sword that was struck by a lightning bolt, giving allowing it to be used from two spaces away. It uses the unit’s magic attack to do damage, which is why Petra wouldn’t be a good fit for it, but it suites this cosplay!
Cosplayer Maganda Marie looks ready for a fight in Petra’s post-time skip outfit.
7 Tracker Petra By Phin Amin
Petra is a citizen of Brigid, a small territory that became a vassal state of the Empire after war broke out between them and Dagda. The people of Brigid value nature much more than the people of Fódlan do. They also value the ability to succeed in nature and for that, one must be able to hunt. In order to hunt, one must be able to track down they’re food.
Petra looks like she’s going through the brush to look for signs of an animal she is hunting down or looking for edible berries. Either way, this is a great cosplay by Phin Amin.
6 Dancer Petra By Abolstery
While not the best choice for a dancer, she’s still a very solid pick to be a dancer in Three Houses. She’s good with swords and has a high avoid rate; besides the fact that she’s not the best when it comes to magic, she’s a very strong pick for becoming a dancer. Plus, look at how amazing she looks in the dancer garb; it’s almost worth choosing her just for how well it works!
The beachside setting for these pictures really brings it all together for this cosplay by Abolstery.
5 Tea Time Petra By DaniSkyeCosplay
Everyone loves tea time in Three Houses. Most of the time on an exploration day, characters will take some time out of their day to have tea with Byleth. Also, tea time is the only way to really celebrate someone’s birthday in Three Houses (archbishop Rhea must have a rule banning parties).
DaniSkyeCosplay recreates Petra’s post-time skip look while having some tea with what one can assume is everyone’s favorite professor.
4 Loungewear Petra By IronicallyNautical
One of the DLC outfits added to the game, the loungewear outfit is supposed to a way for the characters to relax without being in uniform. While the loungewear outfit isn’t the most interesting outfit she can wear, even Petra needs a break from her usual uniform.
Cosplayer IronicallyNautical wears her hair in the same way as post-time skip Petra, so maybe she’s taking a break from her traditional Brigid guard. It’s hard to blame her; the garb doesn’t look very comfortable with all the moving parts.
3 Climber Petra By DandereNya
Claude learns the hard way from Petra how important it is to be able to climb a tree. Being from Brigid, she’s learned a lot of things the people of Fódlan have not, and that includes being one with nature. Claude takes a nap on the ground, and Petra drops down and tells him it’s much safer to sleep in a tree.
Cosplayer DandereNya must have really enjoyed their support conversation because she decided to do her own recreation of Petra showing off her climbing skills. Even though Petra believes it to be a helpful skill, it also looks fun.
2 Commander Petra By Lexichuchu
With the way Lexichuchu stands with her cape flowing in the wind, she looks like Petra is about to lead an army into battle whilst giving a great speech about attaining victory. She looks strong, powerful, and cool. She looks like a commander in an anime is getting his/her troops ready for the upcoming battle.
Also, the skirt really sticks out because of the bright green, white, and gold on it. It’s a great look, and she looks more than ready to lead a battalion into battle.
1 Serious Petra By PastelDragoon
This is another cosplay that takes some creative liberties. Petra’s post-time skip look does not have all the jewelry that PastelDragoon used, but that is what makes this cosplay really pop. Petra is a princess, so naturally, she would have access to all sorts of jewelry if she wanted. She’s also a warrior, and the mix of her armor with the jewelry makes her look like the warrior princess she is.
Not to mention the braids on her hair stick out really well, making this an amazing cosplay of the Princess of Brigid.
