Fire Emblem: Three Houses has a lot of characters to keep track of if you recruit as many as possible. In fact, there are a total of 33 in all. Becoming friends with so many people can be a difficult feat, especially if you don’t know what gifts are liked by which characters.

Gifts are a great method to both increase the motivation of an NPC, as well as their personal bond with Byleth. However, if you give them a gift they dislike then that gift is wasted and neither stat will increase. Here we go through how to get gifts and the likes and dislikes of each character.

How To Get Gifts In Fire Emblem Three Houses

Here are all the ways to get gifts:

  • Grow flowers in the greenhouse: Flowers cannot be bought. The only way to get them is to plant flower seeds and harvest them from the greenhouse.

  • Complete quests: Some gifts are given as a reward for completing various quests in the game.

  • Purchase from merchants: On the 9th Month of the Fodlan Calendar, two gift shops open up that can sell gifts to Byleth. However, you can only buy one of each gift per month. After the time-skip, a third shop selling gifts will open.
