There are a number of different classes in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Each class serves a vital role on the battlefield be it offense, defense, support, or a mixture of all three. Part of the player’s responsibility is honing various students into the best version of these classes based on their talents and abilities.

For those who are curious as to which class they’d thrive in, one way to determine this is to compare it to their Chinese Zodiac. Knowing the personality traits defined by the Zodiac can help someone line them up with a class to find their ideal role in war.

12 Rat - Mortal Savant

Rats are often resourceful and versatile individuals. They are capable of quickly adapting to situations and have many tools under their belt to provide them with what they need to thrive in any given situation.

This makes them ideally suited to be Mortal Savants. Mortal Savant is a class that utilizes both swords and Reason-based magic in combat. This means they can draw a sword to fight magically resilient opponents or cast spells against physical resilient opponents with equal effectiveness.

11 Ox – Fortress Knight

Ox personalities are defined by their diligence, strength, and determination. Once an Ox commits to something it’s very hard to convince them to stop and they’re resilient against many obstacles and hindrances.

These are all traits that make for a great Fortress Knight. Acting as impenetrable walls of steel and muscle these Knights are charged with defending the weak and keeping the enemy at bay. A task that requires the strongest of wills and incredibly dependability.

10 Tiger – War Master

Tigers are fierce individuals known for being competitive and having immense confidence. These are brave personalities who aren’t afraid of a challenge and will constantly find ways to improve themselves.

This makes them the perfect War Masters. War Master is a class that focuses on mastering the art of war and obliterating foes with mighty axes and hand-to-hand combat. With a War Master anything is a weapon, but having the right weapon makes them fearsome opponents.

9 Rabbit – Dancer

The Rabbit zodiac is the embodiment of grace and elegance. They are kind souls who seek to benefit others. They can be relied upon to do what’s needed even if it’s something they’re hesitant to do.

This is the kind of personality that does well as a Dancer. Dancer’s are a support class charged with boosting and buffing allies. It’s a role that’s often overlooked, but one of incredible importance as they keep allies strong and capable in combat.

7 Snake – Dark Bishop

Snakes are mysterious and often misunderstood individuals. They possess incredible intelligence and wisdom which often results in them doing things in ways others don’t often understand or appreciate.

Dark Bishop’s frequently find themselves in this situation. Their might is unmistakable as they attack foes with dark powers. Some lose their way and join Those Who Slither In The Dark, but a few rare exceptions serve good through darkness.

6 Horse – Wyvern Lord

Horses are energetic and active people. They don’t sit still for long and need to be doing something to release the energy they quickly build up. As a result they like complicated tasks or ones that ask them to multitask.

Wyvern Lords need that kind of energy and focus. Keeping a Wyvern under control, riding into battle, and maintaining awareness of threats both on the ground and in the sky is no small feat. While it can be tiring for many, for Horses it would likely be fun.

5 Goat – Priest

Goats are calm and gentle souls. This doesn’t mean they’re opposed to fighting or standing up to others, but if there’s a peaceful option they’ll utilize it. It also means they’re less likely to get into fights as few personalities have issues with Goats.

This would make them wonderful Priests. They are capable of causing harm with Reason and Faith magic, but their main responsibility is to heal and support allies.

4 Monkey – Gremory

Monkeys are sharp and intelligent individuals. Their perpetual curiosity leads them to find answers and try new things. As a result they’re the type of people to have a broad range of knowledge and to know many tricks and tips.

The best class for these curious minds is the Gremory. The Gremory is magic-based class that focuses on learning the intricacies of both white and black magic. Where most would content themselves with mastering a single form of magic, they pursue mastery of both.

3 Rooster – Falcon Knight

Roosters are courageous and hardworking individuals. But unlike other personalities that are laser focused on their task Roosters maintain awareness at all times. This observance serves them both in their goals and recognizing obstacles to their goals.

These are attributes that serve a Falcon Knight. Wielding lances and swords on flying horseback takes a tremendous amount of courage. It also takes incredible awareness to spot threats that could be lingering in all directions.

2 Dog – Great Knight

Dogs are loyal and honest individuals. They’ll commit themselves to tasks whole heartedly and will do whatever is asked of them, even at their own peril. Their prudence gives them the wisdom to see the importance of their actions and the long-term effects.

Great Knights are a noble and loyal class. In a world of magic, cults, and beasts it takes a tremendous amount of bravery to go into battle with a standard horse, steel weapons, and armor. These individuals will willingly charge the gates of hell or assault a fiery dragon.

1 Pig – Bishop

Then finally Pigs are perhaps the most compassionate and generous out of the lot. They’re often concerned with the needs of others and will devote much of their time doing what they can to help.

This makes the Bishop class an ideal role for the Pig. They’re constantly on watch to lend support and aid to whoever is in need. Be it a buffing spell or blasting an enemy with light magic they’re ready and willing to assist.
