Fire Emblem: Three Houses is the latest game in the Fire Emblem universe, and it certainly hasn’t disappointed fans of the series. With three main houses to teach, a secret fourth house to discover, and over thirty playable characters, the game has a way of pulling the player right into the story.
As you play through the game, you quickly become acquainted with all of Garreg Mach Monastery’s students, faculty, and knights. Each character has their own complex story, motives, and personality, making them perfect poster children for the twelve zodiac signs. If you were ever curious about which character you’d be, now’s the time to find out.
12 Aries: Leonie
Aries are known for their ambitious and competitive nature. They love to challenge others in a way that motivates them to work hard and never settle for the minimum. When presented with obstacles or hardships, they will find a way to prevail.
Someone who likes to work hard and challenge others is Leonie. The proud apprentice of Jeralt, Leonie immediately sees Byleth, the protagonist and Jeralt’s child, as a rival. And despite her lack of a Crest and nobility, Leonie knows she has what it takes to succeed as a knight.
11 Taurus: Edelgard
A Taurus may be stubborn, but that also means they are extremely loyal and devoted to what their heart tells them. If they have a belief, they will stick with it until the end.
This is very much the case for the leader of the Black Eagles and princess of the Adrestian Empire, Edelgard. As someone who holds a leadership position in both her class and homeland, it’s important for Edelgard to be an unwavering voice for her people. Especially if she’s going to be leading an uprising of some sort.
10 Gemini: Annette
Contrary to the stubbornness of a Taurus, a Gemini tends to keep their mind open to new things and ideas. Rather than sticking to what they know, they welcome new opportunities to expand their horizons.
Annette is not only adaptable to situations but also willing to give people a chance and listen to them without bias. With her father, for example, she was willing to open her heart to him again despite their strained relationship. Additionally, Annette has been shown to be very clumsy and scattered, two strong Gemini traits.
9 Cancer: Mercedes
Cancers are generally very caring people who try to understand things on an emotional level. When something’s wrong, they will know and do everything in their power to remedy the situation with their nurturing ways.
Of course, Garreg Mach Monastery’s own “big sister,” Mercedes, fits the description of a Cancer perfectly. To everyone she speaks with, Mercedes is very kind with her words and only wishes them the best. That being said, she can also be overprotective and easily hurt at times when it feels as though her support is being rejected.
8 Leo: Dimitri
Leos need to be proud and charismatic in order to make great leaders. They will be someone who inspires others while also making a genuine effort to help those in need.
Dimitri may be the leader of the Blue Lion House, but there’s a lot more to him that resembles Leo the Lion. Based on how his classmates interact with him, it’s very apparent that Dimitri is well respected. While Ashe struggles to drop formalities with Dimitri, Dedue has sworn absolute loyalty to him, proving how strong his leadership is.
7 Virgo: Claude
Virgos are the thinkers of the group who have a habit of assessing situations before coming to any firm conclusion. When something major is on their mind, it is easy for them to start questioning and overthinking the issue.
Out of the three house leaders, Golden Deer’s Claude is definitely the most methodical. Unlike Edelgard and Dimitri who are driven by the darkness in their hearts, Claude chooses to analyze the situation as it unfolds. And although he often walks around with a carefree personality, he’s secretly scheming and planning his next move.
6 Libra: Ferdinand
Libras are known for their elegance, charm, and peacemaking abilities. Whenever an issue arises, a Libra will smooth out the situation in a way that keeps it classy.
On student who radiates the very essence of charm and elegance is Ferdinand. Ferdinand is a man who takes his nobility seriously while responding to conflict with grace. In his support conversations with Dorothea, for example, it’s clear that she despises him for some unknown reason, so he takes it upon himself to identify the problem, make things right, and squash any hostile feelings.
5 Scorpio: Hubert
A Scorpio is passionate, loyal, and may come across as a tad mysterious. But because of how secretive they are, they can often rub other people the wrong way.
Just by looking at Hubert, you will note that his stare is intense, intimidating, and hard to read. As it would turn out, Hubert serves as Edelgard’s right-hand man who would never even think to betray her. Instead, he sees it as his duty to give the emperor his full support and has worked closely with her from beginning to end.
4 Sagittarius: Hilda
A Sagittarius is a bright and fun individual who doesn’t play by the rules. They enjoy the freedom to walk their own path while often forgoing their responsibilities.
If there’s anybody who knows how to shamelessly sweet talk themselves out of doing any form of labor, it’s Hilda. Whether it’s returning books to the library, running errands, or even participating in battle, Hilda is great at deflecting the responsibility with her charm. That being said, she has the brightest personality that makes her so likable despite her lazy and irresponsible behavior.
3 Capricorn: Felix
Capricorns possess an exceptional work ethic, making them the most reliable ally who will never let you down. At the same time, they can have a rather pessimistic outlook on life.
Commonly found at the Training Grounds, Felix will either be training to become the strongest swordsman or talking about how much he despises Dimitri, who he refers to as the “Boar Prince.” But despite his distaste and pessimism around the Boar Prince, reliable Felix knows what his duties are and will continue to fight on Dimitri’s side in the Azure Moon route.
2 Aquarius: Petra
An Aquarius is a thoughtful and smart individual who prefers to pave their own path for the future. They do not simply agree with what they are told and instead formulate their own opinions by posing more questions about the topic.
Petra is most easily identified by her distinct style of speaking, while her status as a foreigner from Brigid certainly adds to her curiosity about the people of Fodlan. But rather than trying to fit in with the Fodlan people, Petra takes pride in her homeland and doesn’t mind going against the grain.
1 Pisces: Ignatz
A Pisces is known for their artistic abilities and vast imagination, which is often driven by their strong emotions. If inspiration hits them seemingly out of the blue, it could be because they were busy daydreaming.
Ignatz is the perfect example of a Pisces with his creative mind and love for art. Although he was sent to the Officer’s Academy to become a knight, Ignatz slowly becomes more comfortable and confident in turning his art hobby into a career he wishes to pursue. Coincidentally, Ignatz is, in fact, a true Pisces with his birthday being March 14.
