Before you buy a game—specifically before you buy one whose title almost doesn’t sound real—it would be nice to see some of the gameplay that you can expect before you spend a significant amount of money on it. Luckily, for the game Is It Wrong To Try To Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon? Infinite Combate that’s exactly what you can expect, thanks to a new video.

The game is based on the anime and manga series Is It Wrong To Try To Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon? and follows the main character as they raid dungeons. The gameplay is isometric, giving you as wide of a view of the dungeon as possible. In between action scenes, the game is largely text-based, with minimal character animation so you’ll need to be comfortable with reading.

The video was shared on Nintendo Soup and gives us a good idea of what we can expect from the game. The story follows Belle Cranel who is trying to be an adventurer in the city of Orario, which was built on top of dungeons—according to the intro scene. You will take on various quests as you learn more about the story that is taking place. Each quest will give you items and experience that will upgrade Belle, making him more powerful so that he can take on more and more dangerous dungeons.

There is a lot to unpack in the nearly one-hour video—as there is a 17-minute long scene of dialogue setting up one of the quests in just this one clip—but suffice it to say, there is going to be a lot of lore and intrigue to sink your teeth into.

While Is It Wrong To Try To Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon? Infinite Combate isn’t going to be a game for everyone, it does have its own charm and attraction. At least half of the game is going to be world-building and exposition, at least in the first few hours, so if you aren’t willing to do a lot of reading and keeping track of characters and events, this game may wear on you. However, if you are interested in story-driven adventures, you are probably going to like this title. Be sure to check it out when it drops on August 11th.
