Fly Punch Boom! is an upcoming “over-the-top anime action beat’em up” -  at least according to their developer, Jollypunch Games. The game will have you punching left, right, up, down and maybe even in some as of right now undetermined dimensions - and you’ll be able to punch so hard, the moon’s butt will explode. No, I’m not joking.

This game - coming to Switch and PC - is taking credibility very loosely. But then again, this is an anime fighter, which practically forces it to be at least a little over-the-top. “A little” is a word that does not exist in this game’s dictionary, so you will be able to punch your friends using whales and asteroids, and then get the camera to zoom in from space to your face. You’re a superstar!

Gabriele Libera, the founder and sole member of Jollypunch Games, explains, “[I] couldn’t find a game that really gives you that outrageous feeling of breaking all limits […] So I made exactly that game, and packed it full of intergalactic alien abductions, slapping people with whales through the cores of planets, and punching Elvis lookalike birds until they shoot into the moon’s butt. What else could you want?”

Really, what else? There’s also a soundtrack by Chilean composer Giorgiost, local and online multiplayer, as well as unlockables and secrets for solo players. If this has convinced you that you need to play this game, you’re in luck: a free trial edition of the game called Fly Punch Boom: First Impact! is now available for free on Steam.
