Fly Punch Boom! - the upcoming “over-the-top anime action beat’em up from developer Jollypunch Games - has received a release date, and one that comes sooner than expected.

On May 28th, Fly Punch Boom! will make its way to Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam, putting its simple premise with wild battle sequences into the hands of players.

In just a couple of days, players will be able to take on up to four of their friends in local or online multiplayer battles, dishing out major damage to each other and - more impressively - the arenas in which they battle.

Fly Punch Boom!’s fighters will be able to destroy pretty much everything in the 40 different stages, ranging in everything from skyscrapers to blimps to the Great Pyramids, and even breaking the entire world in half. Most of the pieces of the environment can be used as weapons as well. An arcade mode will also be available for single-players to get in on the high-flying, over-the-top action.

Fly Punch Boom! is basically everything we’ve ever wanted in an anime fighting game. While it may be a little unorthodox in terms of the animation, the game looks like it will do the trick in satisfying the crazy combat dreams of anime fans everywhere.
