Fall is finally here, and there are traditionally a few things that change along with the season. The leaves change color, the weather becomes colder, and the Xbox 360 dashboard receives a Fall update.

This year’s update — which was first revealed at E3 2011 — is coming, and a recent video showing off the look and features of the upcoming dashboard has hit the Internet… in French.

While the footage of the new dashboard itself features a lot of French, the actual video is muted, so we all get a good look at how the new and visually improved dashboard functions. After adjusting to the initial shock of the new redesign, gamers will notice a couple of big features that have been added. Kinect users will instantly notice that the irritating ‘Kinect Hub’ has been removed, and now players using the peripheral can simply navigate the regular menu without having to maneuver around using those awkward little switches.

The new Xbox dashboard is sure to excite some and horrify others, so check it out below.

Among some of the larger additions, Bing seems like a a useful feature that will actually allow gamers with Kinect to search for things using voice commands — although the video didn’t show off that particular addition.

Finally, seeing the bulk of the new update will be a lot more satisfying in English, not to mention comprehensible, and that should be happening in the very near future. This update hasn’t been given an official release date as of yet, but Microsoft should make more information available to the masses soon. In the meantime, everyone who owns a 360 has a ton of new games to look forward to this month alone, and those will eclipse any frustration left in the wake of the new dashboard update.

Now, if only we could get more news on the forthcoming Xbox TV service.

The new dash is rumored to release on November 15th, so keep your eyes peeled to Game Rant for more news on the soon-to-be-released Xbox 360 update as soon as it becomes available.
