Ubisoft’s live service games continue to be a major boon for the company as games like The Division, Rainbow Six Siege, and Ghost Recon Wildlands continue to entice players through constant updates and fresh content. For Honor is another game that continues this upward trend thanks to multiple expansions and important free updates like dedicated servers and other enhancements. According to a new trailer, Ubisoft isn’t done with its hit melee combat game and has a number of surprises in store for players.

Since it launched early in 2017, For Honor has evolved significantly throughout its first year and into its second. The trailer takes viewers through the journey starting from the launch days to how the team has continued to plug away at the experience since. The trailer gives some interesting behind the scenes details with developers sharing how the first year went, details the timeline of releases, and seasonal events. Fans can also get a look at the community workshops that are held every few months, which keeps the studio grounded and keeps the community involved.

For many though, the most exciting aspect of this trailer comes towards the end, where For Honor brand director Luc Duchaine and the team gives fans a sneak peek at what’s coming. While the team doesn’t get into specifics, it’s clear that they haven’t run out of ideas on how to continue to improve the experience for players. They even hint at a few upcoming surprises at E3 2018, including a sneak peek at a cinematic trailer where a mysterious sword is shown about to swing down on a Warden. Naturally, this tiny reveal has sent the community into a frenzy of speculation from the addition of a new faction, to new hero types ranging from pirates, Persians, or Chinese warriors.

While Ubisoft plans on having plenty of headlining games like The Division 2 at its E3 showcase this year, the company has also revealed that For Honor will also be featured during the show.  With this latest tease, it certainly looks like new content is on the horizon. The company has also confirmed Beyond Good & Evil 2, Skull & Bones, as well as the only two confirmed 2018 releases, Starlink and Transference. The likelihood of that remaining true is unlikely as players should definitely expect a surprise or two as Ubisoft is known to be a company that likes to surprise the audience during its E3 showcase.

For Honor is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
