Thanks for entering and for reading Game Rant!

A little more than nine months ago, I had the opportunity to review iolo’s PC tuneup software, System Mechanic 10.5. This automated all-in-one software tool focuses on streamlining PC processes and minimizing redundancies that could affect a PC’s performance and speed by repairing routine issues with little to no work on the part of the user.

I found that System Mechanic was a great and simple tool to keep your Windows PC running at optimal levels. Specifically, System Mechanic 10’s toolset helps with the following issues:

  • repairing errors, crashes, and freezes speeding up Windows start time cleaning out clutter and junk files in order to prevent slowdowns and bottlenecks eliminating security holes and clearing out private data potentially improving gaming experience

Not only did I find the PC utilities program to be a great one-stop shop for keeping my rig in tip-top shape at the time of of the review, but System Mechanic has ensured that my high-end PC rig is still performing at the same level as when I first took it out of the box. My machine still produces the same consistent frame rate scores as those from my initial testing. Further, System Mechanic is not a resource hog, and when it is idle, the utility suite does not affect the performance of my other programs, even during all-nighter gaming sessions.

Since we here at Game Rant like to share a good thing with our readers whenever possible, we have managed to snag five full retail licenses, which normally retail at $49.95, to give away to our PC gamers.

System Mechanic is currently available for Windows XP/Vista/7 computers.
