The challenges Fortnite players will need to complete to unlock the Build-A-Brella customization options aren’t that, well, challenging.

Fortnite Chapter 2 has brought with it the option for players to customize a particular avatar or item, providing they buy the Battle Pass, of course. In Season 2, that honor fell to Maya. A pretty plain looking mercenary at the start of the season, but one that would have become unique to the player by the end of it had they unlocked enough customization options and chosen to tweak Maya’s look.

There’s no Maya in Season 3, but there is the new Build-A-Brella. As was the case with Maya, the Brella is a blank canvas at the start of the season. However, as the season progresses, depending on how much Battle Pass owners level up and the challenges they complete, more and more options will become available that will allow players to make the Brellas their own.

There are ten customization options in total waiting to be unlocked, but not all of them are available just yet. The five that can be unlocked by leveling up are available whenever. They simply require a fair bit of grinding on the player’s part. The five Battle Pass levels at which options are unlocked, and what those options are, can be found below.

The other half of the customization options are not all available right now. However, thanks to Fortnite’s hard-working data miners, what those challenges will be has now been revealed. The first was already available in-game, “Outlast opponents in Solos, Duos, or Squads (500)”, and the second will be added later this week, “Search Chests in Named Locations”. Although the numbers needed to complete the challenges are higher than usual, none of them appear to be that tricky.

In fact, none of them require players to do much more than play Fortnite as they normally would. That’s aside from the final challenge, which is yet to be revealed, even by data miners. Proof that if and when Epic doesn’t want information to be discovered by leakers, it hides it beneath another coat of security. We wonder what it might be.
