Several days ago, Epic Games and People Can Fly announced the decision to make Fortnite Battle Royale a possibility for gaming fans on the go with the development of a mobile version of the multiplayer sandbox survival title. Now, the companies have officially opened up the signup period for the game’s forthcoming Invite Event that will at first only be available to those planning to play the title on iOS devices.

Epic Games and People Can Fly just opened the signup page for Fortnite Battle Royale on iOS mobile devices today, so considering the title’s popularity around the world, fans might have to wait a while before the site can process one’s request. As of writing, the page has been down for quite some time – most likely due to the high influx of people trying to sign up – and we’ve been constantly refreshing to have our shot at trying out the iOS version for ourselves. For those who manage to get through, though, all one will need to do is fill out some forms for Epic Games right here.

For the sake of clarity, those signing up for this Fortnite Battle Royale Invite Event will need an Internet connection, iOS 11, and at least an iPhone 6S/SE, iPad Mini 4, iPad Pro, iPad Air 2 or any 2017 iPad to participate. It’s also worth noting that those who enter their information for Epic Games will receive email invites at a later dates with a download link for the game from the App Store and invite codes to share with others. Fans who don’t immediately get an invite won’t be left out, as the studio intends to add more players on a regular basis in the months to come.

While Epic Games is currently only offering an Invite Event for iOS users who want to play Fortnite Battle Royale on their mobile devices, the company plans on providing an Android version in the following months. There’s no current date set as to when Android users will be able to get in on the action, but should the iOS Invite Event go smoothly, it could happen sooner than we think.

Fortnite is available now in early access on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
