Fortnite is no stranger to crossover events, and now the wildly popular battle royale is bringing back a collaboration with another one of Epic Games’ famous franchises. For a limited time, the Borderlands Psycho Bundle is available once again in the Item Shop for 2,000 V-Bucks.
Originally available in the summer of 2019, the Borderlands Psycho Bundle was introduced as part of Fortnite’s Fortnite X Mayhem event where a section of the map was dedicated to the predominately desert planet of Pandora from Borderlands. This event also included a multitude of different Borderlands themed challenges, as well as sprays, banners, and Prefabs for the creative mode.
With the return of the Borderlands Psycho Bundle, players can once again try to recapture the feeling of that original Mayhem event. For 2,000 V-Bucks, or $19.99, players will receive the Psycho skin, allowing their in game character to don the gas mask and shaved head of the common Borderlands enemy. They will also receive the Psycho Buzz Axes, as well as the ever-talkative Claptrap Pet to keep them company on their quest for a Victory Royale.
This bundle may only be in the Item Shop for a limited time, however, it’s not the only way to acquire it. Until Dec 31, 2020, Fortnite players will also receive the Psycho Bundle by purchasing Borderlands 3 on the Epic Games Store. Even better still, if someone has already purchased the Psycho Bundle in Fortnite but takes advantage of the Borderlands 3 deal, they will receive a grant in Fortnite for 2,000 V-Bucks instead of the bundle.
The reintroduction of this bundle comes straight off the heels of Borderlands: The Handsome Collection being made available for free. This collection of Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is available for free until June 4 as part of the Epic Mega Sale.
While many players are upset with the delay of Chapter 2, Season 3, others will be happy to have another opportunity to pick up this limited edition bundle. It won’t change the disappointment with the delay, but at least Claptrap will be there to keep players company until the new season is here.
