Fortnite Season 6 is in full swing, and Epic Games continues to introduce fresh content into the free-to-play Battle Royale portion of the title, with a new Chiller Trap having been added just recently. In an additional bid to further player engagement, the developer has also decided to bring back the fan-favorite Limited Time Mode known as Soaring 50s.

For those who have yet to encounter a match in Soaring 50s, Epic describes the Fortnite mode as “a twist on the traditional 50 vs 50 mode” where players will be able to re-deploy their gliders when falling from large heights. What’s more is that the developer has incorporated additional Impulse Grenades, Bounce Pads, and Launch Pads in order to ensure that players will be soaring to their destinations on the map.

In addition to the return of the Soaring 50s LTM, Epic has also provided players with some new custom options in Playground Mode, with fans now being able to change settings such as starting health, time of day, gravity, and more. Plus, it looks as if even more content is on the horizon, as a handful of new Halloween-themed skins, gliders, pickaxes, and more leaked following a datamine of the title’s game files.

All things considered, Epic Games is definitely doing its due diligence in delivering a boat load of fresh content for Fortnite fans, as the title continues to make the developer buku bucks and garner even more mainstream appeal. As it so happens, the Season 22 premiere of South Park mentioned the game, which is often an unofficial sign for many that they have “made it”, so to speak. With this being the case, it will be interesting to see if the trajectory of Fortnite’s success continues on an upward trend for the foreseeable future.

Fortnite is available now in early access for iOS, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. An Android beta is currently underway.
