First introduced in Season 3, Fortnite’s “Take The L” emote is one of the game’s most popular emotes. The emote, which involves players jumping from one leg to the other while making an “L” shape with their fingers, has been performed by World Cup-winning soccer stars, professional boxers, and more. But recently, players have discovered a new way to take the taunting emote to the next level.

Fortnite players have found that the Take The L emote can be combined with the new “Scorecard” emote for a double-whammy of a taunt. Normally when a character pops the Scorecard emote, they will hold a card over their head with a random number on it. It was thought that there is no way to determine which number is displayed but it seems that by performing the Take The L emote first, the Scorecard emote will always display the number zero on it.

Ordinarily, using the Scorecard emote is just a fun way to mock an opponent’s performance. But by displaying a zero every single time, there’s an added level to it.

As cruel as this emote combo is, it should be noted that not all of Fortnite’s 200 million players will be able to pull it off. The Scorecard emote is currently available in the in-game store as an Uncommon item that costs 200 V-Bucks. Take The L, meanwhile, is unavailable and players won’t be able to use it now unless they already unlocked it during Season 3 or if Epic brings it back.

But with that said, this discovery could give rise to other Fortnite emote combos. From popular dances that have taken off in real-life to other mean taunts, Fortnite is filled to the brim with unlockables and there have been tons of emotes added across its seasons. While nothing else has been discovered, it’s possible that other combos exist that players haven’t found yet.

Fortnite is available on PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Android and iOS devices.
