Marvel’s Fortnite event has picked up serious steam over recent weeks, adding more heroes and locations to help prepare players for their battle with Galactus. It seems like that battle is close and the planet-eating villain will be appearing in Fortnite very soon, as the character has been teased in a big way.
Teasing such a massive villain within Fortnite is no easy task, but it seems like Epic has done the character justice based on his size within the teaser. First confirmed in a tie-in comic between Marvel and Fortnite, the arrival of Galactus will be the big conclusion to the game’s fourth season. With the season set to come to an end on November 30th, Galactus should be coming sooner rather than later.
Galactus likely will not get a skin like Marvel’s Daredevil receieved, but the character will no doubt make an impact on Fortnite’s map. Though it is unclear how players will fight and defeat the massive villain, whether it be in a limited time mode or treated as an optional encounter during every game, FortTory has posted a major tease for his arrival. The Fortnite news page tweeted out an image that shows none other than Galactus himself within the sky of Fortnite.
While the villain is clearly far away, requiring a sniper scope to even be seen, the concept of Galactus flying towards players is both thrilling and terrifying. While he likely will not arrive until the conclusion of the upcoming Fortnitemares event, as players will be facing different, Halloween inspired Fortnite NPCs, Galactus should land some time in November. With Epic likely wanting to give players some time to fight the villain before the event ends, it seems likely that he comes to the game closer to the start of next month as opposed to later in November.
Still, seeing Galactus in the sky is both an exciting and unique tease that builds up the villain’s eventual arrival. With the imposing character being able to be seen by players at any time and certainly living up to the hype, more superheroes than the ones currently in the game will likely be needed to bring him down. That should not be an issue, however, as a recent leak suggests Captain Marvel is coming to Fortnite soon. With Spider-Man villain Venom also supposedly set to appear along with Ghost Rider, players should stand a better chance against Galactus once the Marvek lineup is complete.
Players will still not be able to see Galactus on iOS devices, though, as a recent court ruling allowed Apple to keep Fortnite banned on their platforms. Fortnite and Marvel fans playing the game on every other platform, on the other hand, should be able to view the giant purple villain lurking in the sky.
Fortnite is available now on the Epic Games Store, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One. PS5 and Xbox Series X versions are currently in development.
