Without a doubt, Epic Games’ wildly successful free-to-play title Fortnite Battle Royale contains a wide range of different character cosmetics. From outfits like the recently reintroduced Power Chord skin to the Renegade Roller pickaxe, there are a variety of ways players can express themselves through their avatar in the game. Now, Epic has decided to partner up with Sony yet again to provide more free cosmetic items to those who subscribe to PlayStation Plus.

As seen in the images below, Fortnite Battle Royale fans who are also PlayStation Plus subscribers are privy to the three exclusive PS4 items of the Artifact diving contrail, the Flappy glider, and the Controller pickaxe. In order to obtain them, one must first ensure that they have an active PS Plus account, log into the PlayStation Store, search for “Fortnite Battle Royale PlayStation Plus Celebration Pack”, hit “Add to Cart, and then checkout. After this, the items should be waiting in players’ lockers in the game.

As previously mentioned, this isn’t the first instance of Epic and Sony teaming up to offer Fortnite goodies to PlayStation Plus subscribers at no additional cost, as the companies’ initial Celebration Pack for PS4 came out earlier this year, and provided fans with a free Blue Team Leader skin and glider. Following this offer, Epic and Sony then released Celebration Pack 2 during the summer, which issued PS Plus users with a free Blue Streak skin and back bling.

All things considered, the collaboration between Epic and Sony to provide PlayStation Plus subscribers with free Fortnite wares should please users who pay for the service, and it might even cause them to engage with the title even more than before just to see how the gear appears in action. There’s no doubt that the companies hope this offer incentivizes further Fortnite purchases through the PlayStation Store, too, but only time will tell if that occurs.

Fortnite is available now in early access for iOS, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, with an Android beta currently underway.
