Fortnite Season 7 began today, giving the map a wintery makeover as a huge iceberg collided with the map. But the content update has added more than just a few snowy peaks; it also heralds the arrival of brand new challenges, which players can complete to earn Battle Stars and unlock new content.

For Fortnite Season 7 Week 1, there are seven challenges to complete in total. There are three challenges that can be completed by all players and another four challenges which can only be completed by Season 7 Battle Pass holders. Completing them all offers a bonus of 5K XP. Below is the full list of how to complete the Week 1 challenges, along with instructions on how to complete them.

  • Pick up an item of each rarity (0/5) Dance in different forbidden locations (0/7) Play matches with at least one elimination (HARD) (0/5) Stage 1: Dance on top of a crown of RV’s Stage 2: Dance on top of a metal turtle Stage 3: Dance on a submarine Deal Headshot Damage to opponents (0/500) Stage 1: Search Ammo Boxes in a single match (HARD) (0/5) Stage 2: Search Chests in a single match (0/3) Stage 3: Search Supply Drops in a single match Eliminate opponents in different Named Locations (HARD) (0/5)

Pick Up an Item of Each Rarity (0/5)

This is the easiest challenge of the bunch. All players need to do is pick up an item of grey, green, blue, purple, and gold rarity. This can be done just by playing Fortnite as you normally would and you probably won’t need to go out of your way in order to complete this.

Dance in Different Forbidden Locations (0/7)

There are forbidden locations to be found all over the Fortnite map. There are 10 in total and players will just need to pop a dance emote once they get there. Maybe bust out the Hype emote, or even the Swipe It. Visit seven locations and dance at each of them; it’s that simple.

Play Matches With at Least One Elimination (0/5)

Again, this is a fairly straightforward challenge. All players need to do is get at least one kill in five games; you don’t have to be a record-setting Fortnite player to get this one done. You could even make use of the Team Rumble LTM which is currently taking place, as this will let you respawn and give you another chance to get an elimination.

Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3 of the Dancing Quest

The first three-step quest on this week’s list of Fortnite challenges involves even more dancing.

  • Here’s where to find the crown of RV’s Here’s where to find a turtle And the submarine can be found on top of a mountain in the frozen biome (southwest area of the map)

Deal Headshot Damage to Opponents (0/500)

A sniper rifle will help you get this challenge done pretty quickly. Just build a tower, aim, and shoot. Alternatively, you can get headshots with a shotgun or even a pistol as these fire individual bullets and so you may have a better time landing at least one shot to an opponent’s head. You can also try catching your opponent off-guard - they’re less likely to move erratically (and therefore avoid getting headshot) if they don’t know someone’s aiming at them!

Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3 of the Search Quests

Ammo boxes and chests can be found all over the map, just by looking in various houses and buildings. So long as you stay out of trouble, you may even be able to bang out these two stages in one match. You’ll have a harder time searching a supply drop because there’s increased competition but, if you play with a squad you’ll increase your chances as they can have your back while you search.

Eliminate Opponents in Named Locations (0/5)

Like the rarity and headshot damage challenges, you’ll likely eliminate opponents in named locations as you play naturally. Because named locations are so popular, you’ll likely have plenty of opportunities to take an opponent out every time you drop onto a named location from the Battle Bus.

Those are all the Fortnite Season 7 Week 1 challenges. Complete them all to get more Battle Stars and get a bit closer to unlocking the new skins and other cosmetics introduced in Season 7. You’ll also want to pick up the hidden Battle Star.

Fortnite is available on PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Android and iOS devices.
