The Fortnite season 7 week 3 challenges have gone live, requiring players to complete a variety of tasks involving landing, eliminations, and more. Once players have completed all of these tasks, they will be able to pick up a free Battle Pass tier in the form of the season 7 week 3 hidden Battle Star.

As seen below, most of these challenges will require a little time and attention, while others can be completed in one match. The main thing Fortnite players will want to be aware of is where they are dropping and which challenges can be completed in the area, as many of these are location-oriented.

Free Challenges

Ride a Zipline in Different Matches (5)

Although this challenge requires players to complete the task in 5 different matches, it shouldn’t be incredibly difficult. The winter biome is full of ziplines, in fact, and this challenge can be completed in conjunction with the Polar Peak challenge. While riding ziplines, Fortnite players can be searching chests in the wintry named location, effectively killing two birds with one stone.

Land at Specific Locations

The staged landing challenge has returned and is completed by simply dropping in the named locations. This time around, Fortnite fans will be visiting Lonely Lodge, Pleasant Park, Lucky Landing, Lazy Links, and the snow-covered Tilted Towers.

Legendary Weapon Eliminations (2) [HARD]

This may be the most difficult challenge for some players, as they are either relying on getting lucky enough to get a legendary weapon early or surviving long enough to get a legendary weapon out of a supply crate. For those novice Fortnite players that this rarely happens to, they’re not completely out of luck. Those who struggle with this challenge will only need some patience, as the Solid Gold LTM is returning on day 7 of the 14 Days of Fortnite event.

Battle Pass Challenges

Search Chests at Polar Peak or Tomato Temple (0/7)

Rather straightforward but potentially difficult, this Fortnite challenge requires players to loot 7 chests at either of the named locations. The most straightforward way is to drop at these locations and rifle through as many chests as possible. It’s likely that other players will also be doing this, so be prepared to search quick or fight.

Ring a Doorbell in Different Named Locations in a Single Match (0/2)

In a callback to the season 6 week 4 doorbell challenge, players will once again be ringing those doorbells. However, this time around, it doesn’t matter if anyone is inside or not, as players just need to ring a doorbell in 2 different locations in a single match. As difficult as this sounds, there are numerous locations in close proximity of each other with doorbells. Here are the combinations we consider the easiest to get:

  • Lonely Lodge - Wailing Woods Salty Springs - Retail Row Salty Springs - Fatal Fields Fatal Fields - Paradise Palms Snobby Shores -Pleasant Park

Fortnite players who complete just 1 of the above combinations will be rewarded with 5 battle stars for their troubles. But it is worth mentioning that any of the above locations, completed in conjunction with another, will work.

Search Between Three Ski Lodges (0/1) [HARD]

To complete this challenge, players are looking for a pair of trees located between three ski lodges in the winter biome. This is rather simple, but players will want to know where to look, so we’ve compiled a map for this challenge here.

Stage 1: Deal Damage with Specific Weapons (0/200) [HARD]

A staged damage challenge rounds out this week’s tasks, with players needing to deal enough damage to kill either 2 unshielded opponents or 1 opponent with full shields. It doesn’t sound like much, but once Fortnite players finish with shotguns, they will also need to do this with pistols and then sniper rifles.

Once players have completed all of these challenges, they will need to wait until week 4 for more. Still, in the meantime, they can be enjoying the on-going 14 Days of Fortnite event or look forward to the upcoming New Years event. Until then, good luck with these challenges, Fortnite fans!

Fortnite is out now in early access for Android, iOS, PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One.
