The challenges for season 8 week 2 of Fortnite have dropped, requiring players to gain health by various means, deal 100 damage with Pirate Cannons, and visit the furthest North, South, East, and West points of the map. For the latter, this means that it could likely take a few matches to visit every point, especially considering the X-4 Stormwing has been removed from the wildly popular battle royale title.
That said, while it make take some time, the challenge itself is rather easy to complete. Fortnite players simply need to find each of these points and walk up to the sign with a compass and the cardinal direction. Doing so will pop the progress marker, letting the player know that the location is complete.
Guessing where the furthest of each point will be isn’t a bad strategy, but we’ve made the below map to help those who want to be sure and drop in the right area in Fortnite. North can be found above Junk Junction, slightly to the right, and South can be found below Lucky Landing. East is a bit more complex to identify, but finding East and West are no harder to complete.
The furthest east point of the Fortnite map is near the Mansion point of interest to the south east of Lonely Lodge and north east of the desert biome race track. West can be found at the tip right outside of Snobby Shores. Visiting each of these locations will put players one step closer to completing the week’s challenge and finding the hidden banner of the week.
Once players have completed all of the season 8 week 2 challenges, they will simply need to wait for the week 3 challenges to drop. Notably, there has been a massive Fortnite leak revealing these week 2 challenges ahead of time, and weeks 3-4 as well. Whether they are as accurate remains to be seen, but the season is just getting started. So players should keep an eye out for more new reveals in the coming weeks.
Fortnite is out now in Android, iOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
