The Season 7 Week 6 challenges have been available in Fortnite for a few days now, giving players the opportunity to complete tasks in exchange for battle stars. One challenge that seems to be giving fans of the battle royale game some trouble is the challenge to deal damage with five different weapons in a single match, but there is a way to make it much easier.
First off, some Fortnite players may not understand what the challenge is asking them to do. It’s actually tasking them with dealing damage with five different weapon types, not just five different weapons. So players won’t be able to hit an enemy with a tactical shotgun and a pump shotgun - only one shotgun blast would actually count for the challenge.
Here are the different weapon types that Fortnite players can utilize in their quest to complete this challenge:
- Shotguns Assault Rifles Snipers Pistols SMGs Minigun Explosive Grenade Traps Plane
In any given area on the map, Fortnite players should have little trouble finding at least five weapons to use. They should be able to complete it with guns alone, but the added benefit of being able to use things like grenades, traps, and the recently added planes should make this challenge easier.
However, the easiest way to complete this challenge is to do it outside of the standard battle royale mode. Fortnite often runs limited-time modes that let players respawn instead of just having one life, which makes completing the deal damage with five different weapons challenge significantly easier.
Once players have this challenge out of the way, they can focus on the rest of the Season 7 Week 6 challenges. This week also has players finding chilly gnomes that are hidden throughout the battle royale map, as well as throwing an ice puck at least 150m. And after they’re done with all of the Season 7 Week 6 challenges, they can hunt down the hidden banner to truly close out the week.
Fortnite is out now for Android, iOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
