Fortnite fans are busy completing the 14 Days of Fortnite challenges, where each day brings a new challenge and a new reward. One recent challenge is to hit players with a snowball in four different matches, though some players may not realize how to get the snowball to actually complete the challenge.
The snowball toy, which will be found in the emote wheel when equipped, is similar to other toys that have been released in Fortnite. Fortnite players will simply throw a snowball when its emote is selected, and if aimed properly, they can even hit enemies and fellow teammates with it.
Whereas most toys in Fortnite are unlocked by completing Battle Pass challenges, getting the snowball is actually done through the 14 Days of Fortnite challenges. Players will need to complete the day three challenge, which requires them to play three matches with friends. Once that’s done, players will unlock the snowball as their reward, and are free to use it against friend and foe alike while trying to survive on the battle royale map.
Some Fortnite players may mistakenly believe that they have to hit enemies with the snowball to complete this challenge, but others will note that the wording just says “players.” That means Fortnite fans can just hit their teammates with the snowball in a match to make progress toward the challenge. Now the catch is that players can’t hit someone with four snowballs in the same match to complete the challenge - it has to be done in four different matches.
So basically, players can start a match, hit one of their teammates with a snowball, complete the match, rinse, and repeat. Fortnite fans should remember that for challenges to count, they will either have to get a Victory Royale or die, so no quitting to the main menu to make this challenge go faster.
With that, Fortnite players should have no trouble completing the 14 Days of Fortnite snowball challenge. And they will get another toy to go along with the tomatoes and beach balls that they may have added to their locker in past seasons.
Fortnite is out now in early access for Android, iOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
