Fortnite Season 4 is only a week away, which means it’s time for fans to speculate about what the upcoming season will have to offer. According to one popular Fortnite YouTuber, Season 4 will feature a special item that will convert everything in a player’s inventory to legendary items.

The leak comes from YouTuber Tabor Hill. Tabor has proven reliable in the past, as he is known for accurately leaking several key details on Fortnite Season 3, including the Aquaman Skin, flood theme, and the ability to ride sharks. Tabor says he gets his information from an inside source at Epic Games.

In a youtube video posted August 19, Tabor revealed that players will soon be able to catch a special fish, which he refers to as the “Midas fish,” by using the game’s upgraded fishing system. He added that fishing “is a huge part of the next season."

Once players catch and consume the special Midas fish, all of the items in their inventory will be converted to legendary status. So if a player has a shotgun, rocket launcher, and a sniper rifle when they consume the Midas fish, they would then have a gold shotgun, gold rocket launcher, and gold sniper rifle. While the news of a special Midas Fish is exciting, fans should not get their hopes up too high. Tabor said the fish would be extremely rare, albeit not as rare as the Mythic Goldfish.

Tabor said the information was leaked to him from the same source that gave him the information on Season 3. He also pointed out that the Midas fish coincides with the return of Midas himself. Epic Games recently revealed that a new Midas Skin will be available in the Last Laugh bundle that is expected to arrive in November.

As far as other information on Season 4, Tabor only had one word to add: Marvel. This gives credence a previous leak by data miner Hypex, who said that Season 4 will feature a Marvel Comic theme. This would include Thor and Wolverine and skins, as well as Marvel-themed weapons and in-game comics. Epic Games already has a history of crossovers with both Marvel and DC, as characters and items from both publishers have made their way into Fortnite as skins and weapons.

Tabor said his source gave him more information on Season 4, but he is refraining from revealing all of it as to not spoil too much for fans. Players won’t have to wait for long, as Season 4 is slated to release on August 27.

Fortnite is available on PC, Mobile, Switch, Xbox One, PS4 and is development for Xbox Series X and PS5.
