Fortnite has gone all-in on its Marvel content during the massive season 4 crossover, with even more seemingly set to be coming to the game soon. Based on a new set of leaks, one of Spider-Man’s most popular villains, Venom, may be the next Marvel character joining the Fortnite roster.
With Spider-Man content in Fortnite rumored last month, one of his greatest adversaries joining the roster is not too surprising. While dataminers have yet to find out what exactly Venom will look like within Fortnite, everything else about the terrifying Symbiote’s appearance in the game has been discovered. Fortnite leaker FortTory posted an image of a Venom punch card on Twitter, but this is not the only huge piece of evidence in favor of Venom content.
Another Fortnite leaker named HYPEX showed a more damning bit of proof for Venom’s appearance, and it is hard to argue against the character’s skin coming to the game once it is seen. The audio for Venom’s “Smash and Grab” ability is shared in a clip as well as its stats and cooldown rate. Venom having abilities shows that he is more than just a quick skin addition, and with the leaked Silver Surfer skin already added to the game, Fortnite leakers have been proven right already.
Fortnite fans may get the chance to face off with Venom like they did when fighting Doctor Doom given the character’s villain status in the books. An alternate skin based on the white Anti-Venom design could be equally cool, as would an Agent Venom costume focused on the militarized version of the Symbiote. A playable Venom with a punch card and special abilities all but guarantees a buyable skin for the character, with the Marvel-filled season 4 battle pass only offering some of the superhero content that will be available in Fortnite.
If these Fortnite leaks are true, players may be exploring the recently added Stark Industries location as Venom soon. With how detailed the datamined items are, it is hard to believe that the supposed Venom content will not come to fruition. Whether the character comes before or after his web-slinging adversary remains to be seen, but Spider-Man and Venom will likely be immensely popular skin choices among Fortnite players.
For those who cannot get enough of Fortnite’s Marvel crossover, the leaked list of challenges to unlock Wolverine should prove interesting. Until Venom arrives, though, the most dangerous member of the X-Men or one of the many other Marvel skins should be a strong substitute for Fortnite fans.
Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions in development.
