Fortnite is a great game but there is one thing missing, vehicles. Fear not though as it would appear that is all about to change.

The very premise of Fortnite might be basic, but that hasn’t stopped it from becoming a worldwide phenomenon. Whether you play the game or not, it’s kind of hard to avoid right now. From endless amounts of videos on social media to your Fortnite playing friends talking about it, it’s everywhere.

As good as Fortnite is though, it isn’t perfect. For those of you who play the game, have you ever been sprinting across the map for ages and ages without seeing another living soul? You’re not alone. Unfortunately, the only way around that right now is to land somewhere like Tilted Towers, which is always full of players, so that you don’t have to run until the storm comes. For us less able players though, that makes for pretty short rounds.

Epic Games has revealed that a vehicle is coming to Fortnite via its new updates section, and it’s a shopping cart. The caption along with it simply reads “roll into battle alone or with a buddy.” At this moment in time, that’s all we know. There’s no clue as to whether the cart will have an engine, weapons, whether everyone will start with one, or if they will be littered around the map.

What’s clear, of course, is that up to two players will be able to ride in the shopping cart at a time, so it’ll be pretty roomy. If you’re looking forward to finally having a quicker way to dash around the map, then you probably won’t have long to wait. Normally when an item pops up on the new updates list it appears in the game a few days later, so keep your eyes peeled.

We don’t see the downside to vehicles in Fortnite and can’t wait for the carts to arrive. We also hope that their addition to the game isn’t part of a limited edition mode and that instead, it sparks the beginning of more types of transport being added to the game. That way we will no longer have to endlessly run around on the hunt for fellow players and their forts.
