Getting trick kills in Fortnite is a point of pride for several players, especially when and if that kill results in a coveted Victory Royale. This was the case for two streamers, Naive_Niq and Syn_Bazerk, of the battle royale game that managed to pull off an insane win with a well-placed sniper rifle shot, rocket riding, and perhaps a little bit of luck.
As seen below, Niq sent Bazerk on a rocket ride towards a Port-a-Fortress, but Bazerk was rejected by the bouncer traps. The pair managed to transfer Bazerk to yet another rocket with relative ease, sending the Fortnite streamer over the Port-a-Fortress this time. From the other side, the only other remaining player had managed to build their way up the side of the defensive item and began to cross it.
As that player trekked across the Port-a-Fortress, Bazerk was looking down through the scope of his heavy sniper rifle, yet his view was somewhat hindered by the exhaust and speed of the rocket. At the seemingly last second, he made the shot, eliminating the opponent. This earned the Fortnite pair the victory royale while Bazerk continued to fly off into the storm.
Without a doubt, this is an impressive kill and would have been with or without the victory royale. But the fact that it came with a win for the Fortnite players definitely makes it much sweeter. Naive_Niq also likes The Rocket Man moniker and seemingly deserves it, especially since rocket riding is a real skill after the guided missile was vaulted.
After enjoying this insane kill, players will likely want to work on shoring up any incomplete weekly challenges. After all, it is almost Season 7 week 6, meaning that Fortnite season 7 is edging ever closer to its end. For those who still need to collect some hidden battle stars and banners, here’s a guide to help find all of them for season 7.
Fortnite is available now in early access for Android, iOS, PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One.
