Fortnite Save The World players are about to be very happy.
All of you Fortnite Battle Royale players can take a backseat for a moment. Believe it or not, there’s an actual storyline to this game that doesn’t involve shooting other players in the head. For those that play the Save The World zombie survival Fortnite, your cries to the developers have been heard.
First off, stat caps. Roger Collum starts off the update by acknowledging that bugs were introduced on patch 3.2, “and in 3.3 we fixed them by making stat caps more generous. The stat caps were too restrictive, so we loosened them a whole bunch."
That’s just the first bit of good news. The second bit has to do with the Dragon event weapons released during Chinese New Year. For those of you not in the know, there was a huge issue with the Chinese New Year event for Save the World whereby the event exclusive weapons were distributed with invalid perk lists. This meant that some Dragon Weapons were incredibly powerful while others were complete garbage.
To fix things, Epic Games decided to re-roll everyone’s weapons with the proper perk lists. Naturally, this angered the people who got god weapons and didn’t do much to improve the mood of everyone else.
So, to fix things yet again, Epic rolled out a “make good” which essentially gives everyone both their previous Dragon Weapons while also retaining their current re-rolled models. It’s not a perfect solution, but it’s the one players got and they’ll have to live with it and hope Epic doesn’t screw up for their next event.
The third big issue is the Nocturno weapon. It came to light a few weeks ago that Epic customer support had been giving away Nocturno blueprints, which were nominally an exclusive weapon for Ultimate Edition founders. That wouldn’t have been so bad on its own, but the Nocturnos given away started showing up with stats way better than any founder got.
Naturally, this angered the founders. The developers say they don’t have a solution yet, but they’ve heard the outcry in the forums and on Reddit and are working on a solution.
Finally, they’re upping the reward rates in certain areas, getting rid of the durability loss penalty on death, and allowing materials to stack to 200 instead of 99.
