As the weeks and months press on, Epic Games continues to provide a sumptuous amount of support for its free-to-play multiplayer sandbox survival title, Fortnite Battle Royale, with the company having just recently added Mounted Turrets as objects in the game. Shortly after this, the studio decided to add a new explosive item–that is, Dynamite–but it looks as if players weren’t able to try their hand at using it for too long, as the nitroglycerine sticks were disabled almost immediately after their introduction.

As seen in the tweet below from the official Fortnite Twitter account, Epic has “temporarily disabled” Dynamite, as there have apparently been an “increase in client crashes” following the item’s addition to the game. Unfortunately, though, the studio didn’t provide a time frame as to when players should expect Dynamite to make its way back into the title, but the company did promise to provide an update once more information about the matter is unearthed.

For the uninitated, situations such as this are typically par for the course whenever it comes to Epic Games introducing new assets into Fortnite, as it has now become somewhat of a running gag in the game’s community to expect a fresh addition to be taken out shortly after being introduced. Another example of this can be found in the instance when Playground Mode was disabled indefinitely not long after it went live for the first time several months ago due to matchmaking issues.

Taking all of this into consideration, there’s a good chance that Dynamite will be brought back into the fold quite quickly, as Epic has had plenty of practice at this point when it comes to rectifying similar issues. Then again, Dynamite may not show up again as soon as Fortnite players hope, for there have been moments in the past when highly coveted items were added, taken out thereafter, and then received a lengthy delay ahead of their return.

Fortnite is available now for Android, iOS, PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One.
