Fortnite season 8 is officially pass the midway point, as the season 8 week 6 challenges are available now. This week, players are tasked with visiting a wooden rabbit, stone pig, and metal llama, visiting the highest 5 points of elevation on the battle island, finding a battle star where the knife points on the loading screen, and more. Concerning the latter, it can be a bit difficult to pinpoint, as many have likely forgotten what loading screen this is referring to.
Many are likely close to unlocking the tier 100-skin Luxe, though it’s possible some already have. This means they may not immediately recall the loading screen unlocked by tier 10 on the Fortnite season 8 Battle Pass, which is the same map used for the search where the magnifying glass sits on the loading screen challenge. Players will want to return to this loading screen (pictured above) and take note of where the knife is stabbed into the map.
Using landmarks, it’s simple enough to identify where players need to search, even though the treasure map on the Fortnite loading screen is not the most detailed. Right below the knife, players see some squiggles that indicate the race track located in the desert biome. Missing from this treasure map is the Mansion Point of Interest, suggesting that it is hidden by the knife. Therefore, the location players will need to search is the set of trees between the race track and the mansion.
There is a small clearing in this treeline that players will want to find, and once there, the battle star will appear. This will complete the Fortnite challenge and put the player one step closer to earning the hidden banner of the week, albeit the banner will not reward a player with a free tier like the hidden battle stars.
It’s worth noting that this battle star challenge and the hidden reward are not the same, and many players wait until they need to collect a few before gathering the hidden battle stars and banners.
