Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 has officially begun, bringing many changes to the game. Among Fortnite’s changes include a new Mythic Boss battle, with none other than The Mandalorian’s Din Djarin.
The popular battle royale title by Epic Games is shifting its new season’s focus to bounty hunters, making Mando a perfect addition to the game. Also included is The Mandalorian’s Baby Yoda, whose real name was revealed in a recent episode of the Disney+ series.
Tracking The Mandalorian
Tracking down the Outer Rim bounty hunter is actually an easy task. Players need to head directly east of the Zero Point, which the Fortnite Season 5 story trailer introduces, until they hit the edge of the crystalline sands. There they will find a crash-landed Razor Crest, along with Mando patrolling.
Those who take on the challenge must deal with Din’s variety of weapons. These include a sniper rifle, a mid-range blaster, and jetpack, making him a dynamic AI. As detailed in a video by YouTube channel Fortnite Events, it’s advised to gather up supplies before engaging the Mythic Boss. The spot to find some weapons nearest the Razor Crest is a pair of buildings just southeast of the crash site.
Collect the Bounty
Players can get their hands on two of Mando’s iconic pieces of Star Wars gear once he has been defeated: The Mandalorian’s jetpack, which has infinite recharging fuel, and his signature Amban sniper rifle. The sniper rifle works similarly to Fortnite’s thermal-scoped assault rifle, but with a Star Wars overlay. One unique feature of the Amban is that it also doubles as a melee weapon, sticking true to the source material. However, the mid-range blaster that can be seen in the video is nowhere to be found.
The introduction of The Mandalorian characters into Fortnite’s new season seems like a win-win for all parties. The Mandalorian continues to dominate streaming Nielsen ratings, and Season 5’s bounty hunter-focused storyline makes Mando a perfect addition to the game. The new Mythic Star Wars weapons, on top of all the drastic map changes, will likely keep battle royale players entertained through the holiday season.
In addition to Mando crashing Fortnite, Epic Games promises even more characters from “realities beyond.” While there aren’t any official announcements about who is being added, a recent leak suggests that Master Chief and several iconic Halo weapons are coming to the game.
Fortnite is free-to-play on PC, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
