The Gnomes are back in Fortnite Season 3 but don’t worry, they’re not fighting bears this time around. They’re just chilling at Homely Hills.
Fortnite players who took part in Season 2 might recall Gnomes and Teddy Bears slowly making their way towards each other and readying for battle. They were a part of the season’s secret challenges that revolved around a war between the two groups. Even though that war has come to an end, the Gnomes have remained on the island.
In fact, one of the very first challenges players have been tasked with completing in Season 3 is finding a few of those Gnomes. It seems that a handful of them have sought out dry land in Homely Hills, one of the few locations on the map not to be submerged by Midas’s wall of water. There are four Gnomes in Homely Hills, that we know of.
The good news is players will only need to find three of them for a cool 35,000 XP. The even better news is all four of them are in close proximity to each other. That means should players arrive at Homely Hills prepared, this challenge can be completed in one round. The first Gnome can be found next to a barbecue in the back yard of the most southwesterly house in Homely Hills.
From there, players will want to head north where they should find another Gnome stood at the base of a very thick tree. Head to the most northwesterly house in Homely Hills after finding that Gnome. Inside there should be a Gnome happily sat watching TV. Should players have any trouble finding one of those three Gnomes, head south, past the neighboring house from the one you just left, and a fourth Gnome can be found hidden behind a rock.
Chances are players will find other Gnomes dotted randomly around the rest of the map. Those Gnomes can’t be collected, for now, and only ones found at Homely Hills count towards completing this challenge. It also seems as if the Gnomes’ Season 2 war is well and truly over, as Season 3’s secret challenges are focused on the island’s new additions, Coral Buddies.
