When Epic Games introduced the hidden banner/hidden battle star rotation to Fortnite in season 6, it was a bit of a shock for everyone, which is why it made our list of the biggest changes to come to the battle royale game in 2018. For those not in the know, players who complete every challenge in a week are able to find a hidden battle star every week since season 4 until season 6 week 2. On even weeks, players now find a hidden banner, with hidden battle stars appearing on odd weeks. And with it currently being season 7 week 5, this means that players can find a hidden battle star.

Of course, players will need to complete all of the week’s challenges beforehand, which requires players to dance on top of several towers, earn eliminations with suppressed weapons, search between three obscure objects, and much more. Still, once Fortnite players have completed all of these tasks, they simply need to know where to drop for the hidden battle star. Per usual, the loading screen contains a hint, and this week features the Yeti cave. If players look over the doorway in the image above, they will see the outline of the battle star.

The Yeti cave is located just south of Frosty Flights in the new winter biome, and it has multiple entrances. However, the easiest way is to drop through a hole in the snow covering the battle island. It’s easy enough to spot from the sky, as it is surrounded by numerous trees. Entering the Yeti cave here will have players drop on top of the shack, where the battle star will easily appear.

Once players have fully completed this week, they will have to simply wait until the next week makes even more challenges available. But it is worth mentioning that we are near the midway point of the season now, which means there isn’t much time left to find the stars and banners. Thankfully, we’ve put together this guide to finding all battle stars and banners, but be quick. Season 7 will be over in the blink of an eye.

Fortnite is out now in early access for Android, iOS, PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One.
