We weren’t terribly shocked to see Forza Horizon 5 announced at the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase today. Fans have been anticipating the announcement of the next Forza game for a while now. Since 2012, there had been a new Forza game every two years, so Forza 5 should have been released in 2020. However, because of Covid, the game was delayed. It makes perfect sense that they chose to bring it back now by announcing it today during E3.

In Forza Horizon 4, we’ve gotten used to open-world exploration and gameplay changes depending on the seasons. We were also gifted the route creator, so we could design our own race routes, and we had tons of options for car customization. We don’t have quite as many details on Forza Horizon 5 yet, but some were revealed during the showcase today.

In the new trailer for Forza Horizon 5, we see it’s featured in Mexico. All different types of vehicles were featured, and they’ve definitely kept true to providing opportunities to drive through all different types of conditions. The trailer even featured the cars on on the mountains overlooking some lava.

The volcano in this game features the highest point ever in a Forza game. In addition, the game features one of the most beautiful cities that you can twist and turn your way through, adding to the sense of wonder that has always come with driving through Forza games.

They captured 24-hour shoots of real Mexican skies for Forza Horizon 5 as well. It will include AI that tracks you and people that you meet online so you can play together. You can see the sunlight showing through the trees in the rainforest, and it’s incredibly detailed and realistic, making the game even more breathtaking.

Piñata Park is a mini game featured in Forza Horizon 5 in which the players have to work together to find and pop piñatas across the map. There is also a a feature in the game in which you can customize your own races. You can even customize the rules of the game.

Forza Horizon 5 will be available on Xbox Game Pass, and it will be released on November 9.
