If you think you know everything about chess, think again. Four Kings One War is free to keep on Steam right now, and it proves that every good game deserves a sequel, even Chess.
In Four Kings One War, players control not 1, but 2 separate armies on the board. This means that each player gets 2 moves per turn. Chess players are skilled at thinking 2 moves ahead, but do Four Kings One War players have to think 4 moves ahead? Check out the trailer for the game and bask in the glory of fully realized 4d chess.
What’s so appealing about Four Kings One War is that if you already know how to play Chess (and who doesn’t?) then you know how to play Four Kings One War…in theory. The rules may be almost exactly the same, but controlling 2 armies at once is completely unique experience with new strategies to master.
The game can be played either one-on-one or against an AI, but if you ask Jason Statham, you can only get smarter by playing a smarter opponent.
Four Kings One War is available for free on Steam until May 19th. There is a free demo as well that allows you to play an infinite number of matches against an AI opponent.
