The Fujifilm XP170 succeeds in its tough and waterproof tasks, but lacks the core camera abilities. It works fine enough, but the overall picture quality is poor, as is the rear LCD. This would be forgivable if it was a budget model, much like its predecessors. Instead the inclusion of Wireless Image Transfer has bumped up the price, but left the quality behind.
